I think the wife and I have decided to burn our Wyoming antelope points. We have enough point that we should draw either unit we put in for. We have narrowed it down to 91 or 101. Has anyone ever hunted these units? Which would be a better option. We may take our 4 and 6 year old boys along, so they can catch the hunting fever!

Other units are not out of the question either. We would love to hear your thoughts.

We are really excited! We took the boys out last year for just doe antelope (in a different state) and they had a ball! Hoping to make another great memory!

PM me if you would prefer.

Thanks!

I hunted 91 in 2011 and had a blast. Either unit will provide ample opportunities. You will see 100+ bucks a day. Just a matter of deciding on a buck you want.

Just being cautious on selection of units-- have you checked with the Wildlife Biologist for those areas-- winter before this last one was supposedly a big winter loss situation from reports. I've never hunted those 2 units so I have no experience to give there. What ever unit you all pick, have lots of fun with the boys !
Good Huntng !

Both units dropped tag numbers two years ago and have stayed the same since.
91 gives out 275 tags and 101 gives out 100 so there are more antelope in 91 but you will also have more company while hunting. It may depend on what kind of experience you want.

I hunted 91 a long time ago and we killed some nice bucks but plenty has changed since then. If you are taking the kids you might look at what kind of accommodations you will use for the hunt. Back in the day we camped up high on the East end of 91 in the aspens and it was a pretty nice spot. While Ive never hunted 101 the maps make it look more desolate.

Either way, make if fun for the whole family and it will be an experience everyone will remember. Antelope are just fun!

Hunted 91 many times. Never had a bad hunt. Taken several nice bucks in the 77-79 range. Just could not break the 80" mark. I was 1/8" shy. Lots of goats. You do NOT need to be there on opening day. In fact, I hate opening day and weekend. After that you will have the unit to yourself.
