Well after a couple years of bear hunting I finely put down my first bear, not a monster but still a trophy for me. The baits where hot right up until the day before we arrived in camp and then they died right off. Our cam?s went from 50 pic?s a day down to only 1 or 2 bears showing every 24 hours. After sitting for 3 days and our target bear not showing at all, the #2 bear on our hit list showed up on the night of our last sit.
Making no mistakes I drilled the Bat Bear with a double lunge shot, there was a 50 yard dash & crash in a half circle and then came the eerie death moan from 20 yard behind my stand. Within 15 minutes we had the bear out on the trail and ready to head back to camp, still vibrating from all the excitement.
I have to thank my brother and all the guys in camp that helped out, it's a lot of work bear hunting!
The shot footage is from a GoPro camera mounted on the stabilizer of my bow.
