Yellowstone wolf?

My family and I were in Yellowstone last weekend. We saw lots of amazing wildlife. I was sure at first that this was a wolf. He stood tall and was much larger than any coyote that I had ever seen. After watching him through the spotter and taking some phone skope video we looked at the pictures I wasn't sure any more. Is this a younger wolf or just a large coyote? Thanks for your input.

It's like John wayne said, you can see 100 snakes but when you see a rattler there is no question you are seeing a rattler.
When you see a wolf, you will be certain it's a wolf.
Every time they look in our windows you first think, damn, that's big.

100% Yote

Any yote alive in Yellowstone is a bad-a$$. With all the wolves around, it takes a stud yote to survive.

Coyotes are pound for pound the coolest, toughest, smartest animals on the planet imo. Ok, maybe the Raven or magpie......but.....

Gotta respect the "survivalness-ity" of the coyote.

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"

Yes it is obvious to me now. I guess I was just a little over excited to see my first wolf. Luckily I got to find out first hand just what one looked like.
