The deer combos were a draw, more applicants then permits. So those of you that applied for the Big Game Combo but chose to get a refund on the elk part if you didn't draw the LE elk. So, no way are you going to get a deer combo.

You wont have trouble finding public land. There's private to but it belongs to APR and others that are in the BMA's. Hot in early Sept, usually, and yep, mosquitos and snakes. Seems its the overall health of the buck at the start of the new antler growth and at peak antler growth. A buck coming out of a hard Winter is probably stressed to the point that antler growth would be effected. And for sure a dry Spring without the high quality forage would be a factor. Or...
