    Fishing this morning Humboldt Bay

What a great fishery to be able to target halibut close in. Think you might have hooked a sturgeon?

    For you snake haters....

I had a good sized rattler with no rattles in my parking barn yesterday. His tail was blunt after the coon stripes.

    Greater Idaho

    E. Oregon doesn't need Idaho. They just need to show up to vote.

    Every hunter should know this

I've had it happen with cows twice. I put a rope on them and pulled one with a pickup and one with a 4 wheeler. Each time they had laid down in a shallow irrigation ditch.

    Hunting as you get older

Anymore, if I can take one animal a year, preferably a yearling cow elk, to butcher, cook and make stuff I'm content. I've had a good run starting in 1963 and got to hunt several western states. I guess my goal now is to get the meat I want while killing the fewest animals possible. I would like...

    90/10 R/NR split MSGBG

Maybe I missed it while skipping over all the bickering but who is sponsoring this bill? WSA? An individual?

90/10 Split for deer, elk, antelope, sheep, moose, and goat

They're not going to lose out on anything. Nowadays tag demand is so high that almost all the leftover tags eventually sell. That has to offset lower quotas and a smaller split to NR. Add to that an eventual fee increase. They, whoever they are, can do whatever they want. It's just hard to...

    Bass Hill Muzzleloader / X6a

My family took a lot of bucks off that hill starting in the 40's. It was really great habitat until the fire in the late70's early 80's. 6' tall bitterbrush over much of it. You know there's a guzzler on top off the Sunnyside Rd side. Used to be a nice covey of chukar there but I think they're...
