The ol’ conundrum for sure

Moved back to MV area after 22 years away and hunted 39 early deer as a NR. Saw more bears than 4 pts. Had multiple opportunities to shoot a bear but held off hoping to knock over a buck. Seen quite a few berry filled scat piles and wondering how prevalent it was to to get a berry bear this year

Thanks for the input guys. Southern WY bucks being used to wind makes sense. Maybe it’s just better to keep the conditions in mind when planning a hunt and adjust accordingly

As above. How do bucks behave with high winds. Obviously they get to lee side of the mountain to get out of it. But do they bed more in the open relying on eyes more than ears. Do you think they move more due to being unsettled. Thanks in advanced

Very interesting read. Seen a few this summer up in the Big Horns at one of the reservoirs. Surprisingly loud for how high it was flying. Seems pretty limiting here in WY with all the wind

Update: bought a scale and kept bullets from 249.3 gr. and lower. That was the problem:really tight bullets seating. That eliminated the wobble and inconsistency. It's shooting like it had before. Thanks guys
