Thank you baerman I appreciate the link, it does have some decent success rates and whatnot so that is promising, I guess I should have stated that it is the November rifle tag.

    Unit 51 Bull

I’ve searched through the archives and haven’t found much recent activity on this hunt. Was just wondering how the herds over there are doing? best time of the month to focus on the hunt? How is the access, should a guy take a vehicle with tracks or tires? I’ve archery hunted 49 & 50 but have...

    67-2 Moose

Both are amazing bulls! What size/ make of game bags did you use? I’ve been running TAG bags for elk and deer for years.

    67-2 Moose

Thank you Elkoholic! Glassing is one thing that I’m kinda decent at lol. How did your hunt turn out? Deepcolor, that’s good, I just watched that not very long ago on the tele and was curious if it was my area. Guess I better plan on bringing something with tracks.

    67-2 Moose

Well like most, this is my first and hopefully last moose tag here in Idaho. I’ve only hunted them once 20-25 years ago when my dad drew a tag by Dubois (think I was 10-12 years old lol). What I’m looking for is maybe a few pointers, tips/ tricks, best times to chase the long legged things, and...

    My nice 2015 Idaho muley!

The EXO did a phenomenal job! Normally my shoulders are a bit sore after packing with eberlestock packs but not the case with the EXO. Only sore part on me were my the thighs which is a given.

    My nice 2015 Idaho muley!

Played cat and mouse with this guy for almost a week, his sixth sense pretty much schooled me! Lost him for a day but luckily found him the next. Under 100 yard shot with my trusty .270 that my grandfather gave me, 5 hour solo pack out was extremely brutal! He's a 7x8, 29" wide and my second...

    My 2015 Buck

Finally got my 2015 buck, played cat and mouse with him for almost a week, and completely lost him for a day, until he slipped up. 5 hour solo pack out. He's a 7x8 and 29" wide. Sorry for the photos was on the hill alone so cell phone pics will have to do.

    Unit 14

I'm feeling your pain also! Pretty positive it burnt Slate Creek and a little across from gravel bar area two years ago when I had the tag and there wasn't a deer to be seen in the burnt area.

    Unit 41 Bull Tag

Anyone on here have any experience with this hunt? I've spent some time in this unit and know you can ride 200 miles in a weekend and not see one elk. Any hints, help, info or suggestions would be appreciated. Just trying to gather as much knowledge as possible other than what I have/ will get...

    Unit 23 deer

Sorry, last fall was tough finding a mature whitey buck even on private ground, quite a few little guys and a few does, just have to hit it hard. I see more muleys on the north and east edges of the valley but that is just me. If you are looking for a toad don't bother unless you can draw the...

    Unit 50-1

Thanks for the responses guys, wolves do mess with the elk but they don't chase them out of the state, I have grown up hunting 32,32A and all the surrounding units, you just have to deal with it because they aren't going anywhere.

    Got my 2010 buck back!

    Anyone catching catfish ?

The water has been too low all spring, we caught a ton of cats below brownlee before they had the gates open and down below oxbow in a few places

    Unit 23 deer

OLDHORNHUNTER, Fun and Games will never turn 32, 32A, or 39 into strictly draw units, they are their main "money makers" units close to big cities that are easily accessable with forked horns galore for people to kill. I have talked to a handfull of F&G persons about making 32 four point or...

Unit 32 late season pics please post some

They kill all the forkeys during general season so killin one of those with a late tag may be tough lol.

who drew unit 14 muley tag?

My cousin, myself, and one of his friends drew the tag this year, my cousin shot a smaller 3x4, his buddy shot a 26" low to mid 160s four point(his first deer) and i ended up shooting a 25" 3x4, gross score was 174" if he would have had a g2 on his right side would have been mid 180s. they were...

    Shooting Sticks

I've got the stoney point safari sticks, you can shoot laying down all the way to standing, have worked well for me especially when busting the brush i have them fully extended just in case somethin decides to run out.

    Shed Hunters

usually find the steepest possible hill to hike up or deepest hole to go into and check them lol, I usually go where everyone else does and end up doing amazing cuz everyone else sucks! that could have been the biggest lie i've ever told lol.

    unit 32 Fall Bear

dodson pass is basically the only road that will jump you across the most northern part of squaw butte, runs east and west and is the boundary between 32 & 32A, if you have been up around that area there is a fork in the road, you go right and it will take you up to mill creek summit and what...

    Browning BPS

They are amazing shotguns, it's just alot of people prefer the semis over a pump such as the Silver or the Gold and whatever new one they came out with this year, i personally have a BPS 10 & 12 and have yet to have a single problem with them, I also have a Silver 12 and if you don't keep that...

    Unit 14 Muley

Anyone hunt unit 14 last year for mule deer? Just wondering if there are a bunch of people chasing whiteys scaring the muleys around or not. Also if anyone did hunt and harvest would like to see some pics of deer taken up there.

    unit 32 Fall Bear

My dad harvested this bear a few years back with his bow, sorry for the bad pic. As for their patterns, your best bet would be to find some old homesteads where they have old apple, plum, pear or peach trees, are you going to be doing spot and spook or running hounds? I could point you in the...

    Shed Hunters

haven't made it over to the ironside area, I usually look on the ground for horns, seems to be the best spot i've found so far lol.
  40. gooseslayer

wife said ok to let the son go.

if you aren't wanting to run into people stay away from 32 and 32A, its a zoo up there during general season, 39 has more options to get away from people that don't want to put in the effort to hike. Good luck this fall.
