I'm feeling your pain also! Pretty positive it burnt Slate Creek and a little across from gravel bar area two years ago when I had the tag and there wasn't a deer to be seen in the burnt area.

Regs say everything west of the west fork of the bruneau which is the bruneau, confusing I know haha.

Thanks for the responses guys, wolves do mess with the elk but they don't chase them out of the state, I have grown up hunting 32,32A and all the surrounding units, you just have to deal with it because they aren't going anywhere.

I've got the stoney point safari sticks, you can shoot laying down all the way to standing, have worked well for me especially when busting the brush i have them fully extended just in case somethin decides to run out.

if you aren't wanting to run into people stay away from 32 and 32A, its a zoo up there during general season, 39 has more options to get away from people that don't want to put in the effort to hike. Good luck this fall.
