I shot this buck Saturday evening after sitting and glassing for over 4 hours. I seen this buck during the Muzzleloader but was unable to get in range so on opening day of the rifle my wife and I sat on a ridge and waited, we watched a little spike in the pines for 3 hours come out and feed and then bed constantly, we decided we should walk over to the other side and glass but after getting everything in our packs and ready to head out I took one last look where I had seen the spike and there he was he had been bedding right next to the little buck and finally decided to come out and feed. I took a steady rest on the rocks we were sitting on and shot, he dropped right down and took a back flip down the steep hill side and rolled about 200 ft. down the hill took all night and Sunday morning to get him out. This is my biggest buck and I am debating if I want to hang him on the wall he's a 24 inch 4 point I guessed him to score around 170 he has good mass but not very good forks.
Thanks for lookin!!
