Here is my bookcliffs muzzy buck. He isn't a monster but he is my first big buck and it was one of the best hunts i have ever had. my dad also drew a tag but has yet to get his yet so hopefully i will have another picture next week of his.
We had been glassing a hillside for a couple of days looking for a nice 4x5 we had seen the night before and after glassing for an hour or so i decided to move down the side we were on to get a little better view of the opposite side. As i was walking along the side hill a littler 3x3 popped up in front of me about 15 yards away. he was in full velvet still which is pretty rare this time of year so we just sat and watched each other for about 5 minutes then he finally turned and walked up hill a little bit and i noticed another smaller 3x3. i figured there had to be some more and i turned and directly above me was the bigger 3x3 i ended up taking. he was just standing there broadside at about 20 yards so i figured i couldn't pass up the opportunity and i pulled up and shot and it was all over from there. thanks to my dad and uncles who helped out with everything definitely a hunt i will never forget.
