My dad picked my up at 5:30 Sunday morning to head out for a days worth of hunting. As we were leaving we noticed a jeep full of guys spotlighting the deer that hangout in the field across from my house. The deer were very frightened and some of them were jumping the fence out on to the highway. I asked my dad to pull down the dirt road they were on so we could check out what was going on and get their plate #. We pulled up next to them and rolled down the window and asked them if they had a firearm in the vehicle. They told us that they did not, and I informed them that I was going to call the local CO anyway. They sped off up the road to where they were camped and we started to leave. As we were leaving they came back up the road and started spotlighting again, so I called it in and gave the fish and game the info and their license plate #. They may have been doing nothing wrong, but it seemed a little fishy to me. What do you all think?
On a brighter note, I think karma was on our side, because I was able to put my pops on a good buck, which he was able to harvest. It was the largest deer he has ever taken, and it will probably be his last hunt, I am super stoked!!
