My 12 year old son, Cody, is having quite the season thus far and it's only just started. He shot a early youth season spike muley on the 6th, a youth season antlerless muley on the 10th and a youth season antlerless whitetail on the 11th. The ol' family 300 Savage still is faithful. Cody is now tagged out on deer this year. We will now be focusing on his mountain goat and moose tags.
Cody's youth season spiker
Cody's youth season antlerless muley
Cody's youth season antlerless whitetail
His 1st snowshoe hare.
I got in on the shooting action and missed a big black wolf. Not the first wolf I've missed, probably won't be the last. My brother ran into the pack a couple days later and was able to shot 2 wolves out of the 8 that he saw.
With the amount of wolves hunting the area, the deer hunting was pretty tough compared to previous years. I did manage to get on a 4 point whitey but he only presented himself a texas heart shot, and I wasn't willing to take that shot.
