Ceanophus plant for mule deer?

Do bucks like this plant in the summer? Kinda that glossy looking leafy bush that are so typical in burn areas.
 
Did you mean Ceanothus? Blacktail deer eat it on the coast of CA. but I don't think it's their favorite.
 
Yes. They will eat it and use it for bedding cover. Lots of brush in the Ceanothus family, but the one I am thinking of is commonly called snow brush.
