Ok guys, I am looking for some advice. I will be going into the 2010 Utah application period with 10 deer points and I would like to use them up and get back in the hunt for elk. I would prefer a rifle hunt but if I had to, I would take an archery hunt.
What unit would you apply for? I see several CWMUs that give me good odds not to mention other LE units. Here are a list of areas that are tempting but I would like your advice or past experiences with thse units or any other units that I should be looking at...
Book cliffs
San Juan Elk Ridge
Deseret - CWMU
Two Bear - CWMU
Paunsaugunt
What other units should I be concidering? I have hunted Two Bear way back before it was a CWMU, back when United Sportsman ran it. I love that area and know it holds good bucks but I am cautious in that I keep hearing negative reviews on how "non-paying customers" get treated compared to "paying customers" on CWMUs.
What are your thoughts??
Thanks,
Jeremy
