Delta Co question

Headed out Wednesday for Muzzy elk on the Uncomppaghre. We are planning on Bringing an empty 55 gallon drum for water. Anyone know of a place where we can fill it in Delta so we wouldn't have to haul it full the whole way?

LAST EDITED ON Sep-08-13 AT 11:24PM (MST)[p]There is a free public RV dump station 1 block South of the main drag (HWY 50) through town. It has a non-potable hose and I think it may also have a freeze faucet with potable but not 100% sure. Maybe someone else familiar with it will chime in. If coming through Montrose, there is one at the Fairgrounds.

Where are you coming from and by which way?

I have water in Whitewater (US 50 5 miles S of GJ).

Oh yeah, we got rain yesterday (Sunday), at times hard, and it came from that direction.

On Monday (today), it has rained off and on all day, at times hard and it looks like it rained in that direction....every bit as much as here.

Take chains, a Highlift jack, a winch and your recovery gear.

Via price UT, grand Junction and then south to Delta.

Hopefully main roads are fine? 25 mesa?

We usually park the Pickup and camper and use 4 wheeler as basic transport on any other roads

I would assume that those roads are fine. Generally speaking, they are built w/a crest to them and some road-base added to make them firmer.
