Nice addition to the entertainment center. This thing looks pretty dam cool tucked back in there and I can even change the lighting with a remote depending on my mood or what season it is.
It’s not a replica of my ram, I’m pretty sure I’ll end up getting one though ?.Do you like your mini replica? I was thinking of getting one
This is the real skullIs that a replica skull or the real skull ?
Is it made by mini muley though? I’m just curious the quality of theseIt’s not a replica of my ram, I’m pretty sure I’ll end up getting one though ?.
I bought this from trappermanantlers just after I found out I drew my tag. He made a bunch of these mini’s in several species but then stopped for a bit. Then this past month he came out with the minimulies. The quality of this thing is incredible, I’m sure his new products he offers are built with same quality. I stopped in his shop and chatted with him while scouting sheep this summer and his work is awesome. Is it made by mini muley though? I’m just curious the quality of these
It’s at Paul Pennie’s place waiting for a life size mount. I’m going to get a cast of the original when the times comes.@Cheesecanyon what did you do with the Cape if you don't mind me asking?
Who is going to do your replica? It’s at Paul Pennie’s place waiting for a life size mount. I’m going to get a cast of the original when the times comes.
I’ll probably end up going with Paul’s recommendation. I’m not sure of the guys name, but he does his replicas for him and Paul’s work is incredible.Who is going to do your replica?
Santa Cruz Island in CA? That’s a nice ram from there. It's a bit dusty, but this is something I did with a merino sheep ram from Santa Cruz island. I used plaster of Paris to shape the 'head' part' & covered it with tanned deer hide. Did the wood work in my shop.

Yup. There was a large free-roaming herd on the island back in the 1980s. There was a guy who had a nice lodge there & conducted hunts. I want to say his name was Jarred Owens, but I might be wrong. The lodge was an old house that had been part of an olive growing operation many years earlier.Santa Cruz Island in CA? That’s a nice ram from there.
I remember seeing many sheep and even wild pigs on Santa Cruz when I went there as a kid camping on the island.Yup. There was a large free-roaming herd on the island back in the 1980s. It all disappeared when they created Channel Island NP. They used a helicopter to eradicate all the sheep because they supposedly destroyed all of the native flora.
We didn't see any hogs while we were there. Supposedly all the critters were descendants from ones left on the islands by the early Spaniards who sailed the coast. So getting fresh meat consisted of a simple stop to kill something.I remember seeing many sheep and even wild pigs on Santa Cruz when I went there as a kid camping on the island.
