FYI for the guys who purchase Dedicated hours.
I worked a project a few weeks back and still needed 7.5 hours to finish out my year. I was able to purchase those for 20.00hr just now. So I think there is still some time.Is it possible to purchase hours before the increase?
Just payed for 16 hours at $20 an hour.I worked a project a few weeks back and still needed 7.5 hours to finish out my year. I was able to purchase those for 20.00hr just now. So I think there is still some time.
Yeah getting lined out on projects can be a pain.I don't want to buy them, but I've reached out to the contact person on four different projects in the past month and only one responded. ?
Which projects have you inquired about?I don't want to buy them, but I've reached out to the contact person on four different projects in the past month and only one responded. ?
You just described everyone’s issue with the program. 5 hour drive. How generous of them? Some regions make it dang near impossible to find something to do. Of course that is why I have paid for mine for many years. I doubt it is any better though.I don't get what all the complaining is about.
There are 38 projects on the website currently and there are opportunities to donate, clean up or help with fishing within a 5 hour drive* of anywhere in the state.
*Drive time not included.
You think maybe they don't really want to deal with you and these extemely impactful "projects" that have done an incredible amount of good for our herds? I mean delivering pamphlets to stores is an incredible way to improve our deer herds!........Or maybe they don't want to deal with you and just want your money? mmmmmm
Beat me too it, how do they expect us to pay $40 when they don't pay the employees that. When they start paying our conservation officers $40 per hour then I will be on board with this raise. Until then they are just screwing the Drats dumb enough to pay this fee.
That's the whole idea behind the cost increase.I don't want to buy them, but I've reached out to the contact person on four different projects in the past month and only one responded. ?
That's the idea......they don't want your money...When they start paying our conservation officers $40 per hour then I will be on board with this raise. Until then they are just screwing the Drats dumb enough to pay this fee.

Then they better get a new project coordinator because the hoops a person has to jump through to get a few hours here and a few hours there just aren't worth it.That's the idea......they don't want your money...
Because you guys are biggers suckers than the employees? That's the governments outlook obviously. Pretty sad....Beat me too it, how do they expect us to pay $40 when they don't pay the employees that.
If you're attending the Vernal MDF Banquet and need hours, you can get some helping that event.Beat me too it, how do they expect us to pay $40 when they don't pay the employees that.
I'm working that day, but will be showing up to the banquet just late. I would have signed up had I not been working. If you're attending the Vernal MDF Banquet and need hours, you can get some helping that event.
Weed out the one's wanting the buy their way through the intended program. The DWR should charge more.
100% Agree. All hours should be worked. No hours should be bought. No matter the reason.Weed out the one's wanting the buy their way through the intended program.
So many think the DWR is all about money?
Nope.....
Absolutely correct. Makes perfect sense. When I saw they were doubling the price of buying hours, my only concern was why are they not quadrupling it?
Everyone that got into DH knew what they were signing up for. And they still do. If you don’t like the terms, get out of the program. Pretty simple.
So the legislature must have changed this? Because when the wildlife board passed it, it was $25 an hour for the first half. $1,280 damn.LOL yes $40.00 across the board.
KISS
Look at the WSI platform, it lists future projects in the books. As I look at the projects listed right now, and I know more will come, but in the central region, 75% of the projects are for fishing. And dont get me wrong, all are a good cause. But Id like to see more projects geared towards mule deer.
