ELK Rut

Anybody see any good ruting going on with elk we saw some good bulls fighting in morman lake on saturday.

In 6A on monday they were buggling early morning .

Just got back from 6a. They are bugling pretty good in the evenings and mornings. Saw a little bit of hard rutting. One nice bull running others off his herd. Headed back up in the morning.



If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

Spent the weekend in Unit 10 the bulls were bugling and the elk we saw were 100+ animals with lots of bulls and cows. We didn't see any fighting just a lot of bugling and bulls peeing on themselves.

Wondering how the rut is around Mormon Lake area? Been hunting with a friend on the San Juan in Utah and some of the big bulls were still alone. Bugeling, but not rutting hard yet. Heading down Thursday to hunt with my boy.
