Can any one recommend a reputable gunsmith in the Salt Lake area for a repair.(not custom work necessarily).

My friend has a marlin 338 express that does not want to cycle the rounds after the first shot.

Best gunsmith I have ever worked with is Jim Bawden out of Utah County. His number is 801-380-1406. He custom-builds long-range rifles and reloads, but he also does repair work and does only the highest quality work. Cannot recommend anyone higher. Hope this help. Kip

Kip, thanks for the reply. I thought you may have been pulling my leg for a second because Bawden is my last name too. Its just not that common of a name.

I've used Barlows Custom Guns on Redwood Road and would use them again.
