Help after draw elk 245

I can not believe it but I got drawn for an elk hunt in 245 for sept 15-24th. Anyone have any helpful hints or contacts to get me going in the right direction? I am really still in shock!! This is my first hunt draw so any advice is helpful.

There is no unit 245 in NM.
Did you mean unit 45, second hunt?

Sorry that was the hunt code #. It's unit 16B

I also have this same hunt. Its a huge unit and can produce some true giants. I usually take a couple horses and mules to pack in and out. I'll be more than happy to assist you but with two tags to fill in my camp I can't give you my honey holes, not that you will need them to be successful. If you can afford it I would use San Francisco River outfitters to help get you in and out. Either way stay in touch and I will let you in on our game plan later on. It is still way too early to commit to anything, rain and fire will dictate where I plan to hunt.

I will be there for the first season, if you are thinking about calling Tom (San Fransisco River Outfitters) you better make it fast, he books up in the blink of an eye. Theres a reason for that if you catch my drift.
