Some Pics of my scouting trip this weekend. We started hiking at 5 AM, thinking that we'd get to where we wanted to be in about 1 1/2 hours. Four hours later, and we weren't there yet. It took us 4 1/2 hours to reach the summit, and get above treeline. But it was worth it. It was pretty sunny, so we didn't see any bucks, just a doe at the beggining of the hike, going back up from water, and a doe as pictured. If you look at the first pic, at the bottom, you can see a ridge line. That's were we started hiking from. Enjoy! Sorry for the poor pics, but whenever I host them, they always turn out blurry on the URL links.
Here's where we are going to be camping. That's a stream in front of you.
Here's a doe. I just glassed the area, and I look back 10 seconds later, and boom, she had us pegged, but stood there for about 10 minutes just try to figure out what we were. We were on a hillside, and downwind.
Here's a Fischer (sp?), we saw on the way back. Little tyke, but he was right off the trail watching us. I didn't have the shutter speed up high enough, so it turned out blurry.
Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
