How much $$$ unit 551 tag?

Well The Huntinfool has them for $4,400 if that helps .

The deer really got hit hard in 07/08. There was massive winter kill. I know the buck numbers and quality were really good in the fall of '07, but it's nowhere near what it was before that winter. $4400 seems awfully steep to me. I might be the wrong guy to comment but 4k for a deer tag is inconceivable to me, especially with the numbers I've been seeing (or not seeing.)

I have no clue about the numbers or quality of deer in 551 but if the tag is still for sale at this point in the year I would say it is over priced....
