As with any unit, such animals exist. However, we've got too many lions and too many coyotes. Now that the wolves have made it this far south......finding deer is MUCH easier said than done; particularly one that big.
I've lived here (and hunted here) for more years than most of the members on this site have been alive. I've shot my fair share of big deer (maybe a couple more than fair share). This year, I probably saw 1200 deer. I saw 2 that were as big as you said.
If you're serious and put in a LOT OF PHYSICAL WORK, you can find what you've described. It will be a LOT of work.
