He's not that big but here he is. I shot this guy on the afternoon of the last day of season after jumping him out of his bed on a walk about.
I scouted for four days prior to season and hunted all day every day of season. I even had some good friends and family out looking for me. I passed on some in the same caliber or slightly bigger and passed on a 450 yard shot on a 200 class typical that my buddy Wes had found. I was sure I would be able to get a better shot at him if I was patient but he dissapeared with a hot doe never to be seen again.
I burnt up the boot leather and spent a lot of time behind the glass but 4th season isn't a fish in a barrel type hunt like many think.
I was fortunate enough to have my dad with me when I shot my buck.
I think he was sick of watching me pass bucks so he "encouraged" me to shoot this one.
The weather wasn't much help with no snow and a lot of wind on the last three days of a five day season but it was still a lot of fun to hunt with such little hunting pressure.
