This time of year is about as boring as it gets on MM, so I decided to help out. Each Monday I will post a picture of a nice buck and tell a little about it. I may have posted the pics before, but oh well. You may add your thoughts, guess a score or width, or just look.
This picture was taken Nov, 2002. I went for a ride with my wifes dad, brother and his kids, to Antelope island one evening. It was raining lightly, so I left all optics and cameras home. As we pulled into the parking lot at the Garr ranch, my niece screams, theres a deer. I emediantly scan the fields and trees for a look, but saw nothing. I ask where and she replies right out your window. Not 10 ft away, this buck is standing there looking at us. I started smacking my head saying stupid, stupid, stupid, for leaving the cameras home. A beautiful typical framed buck with double droppers that close and no pics.
When I got home, I got on the phone with a couple buddys and told them, we got to be on the island 1st thing in the morning, and told them what happened. As luck would have it, we got some nice video and pics of him after all.
