LAST EDITED ON Dec-16-15 AT 05:02PM (MST)[p]Just thought I'd share now that I have time. Boy we were met with resistance this year and then some! We have a Polaris Ranger SXS that we have to deflate the tires on in order to fit it inside the enclosed trailer. We've done it before, never had an issue. This time, we get out to where we like to camp, literally 74 miles from the nearest city on dirt roads, park and attempt to back our SXS out of the enclosed and all 4 tires roll off the bead. SOB!!! Apparently with the colder weather, those tires continued to deflate under the pressure of tie straps. Now what? So, we tried the ol tie strap crank to see if we could force them back over the bead, it was not working. So we resulted to the good ol ether-bomb! Worked like a champ, but scared the hell out of me all 4 times we did it. Problem one solved.
Problem two - it's cold as can be, we need the little buddy heater to sleep in our enclosed trailer. (It's actually cozy when all is working fine.) First night, we crank on the buddy heater, and although it worked fine only hours before we left, the regulator on our 5 gallon bottle isn't working now. Crap!
I swear, the best laid plans of mice and men...
Long story short - we endeavored to persevere, and persevere we did. Even through the horrible weather that would find us through the first several days of the hunt. Finally, with a break in the weather, the deer came out, and we were able to get this guy on the ground.
Fun year!
