My OR hunt so far...w/pics

I had fun hunting so far! I found this little antelope water hole while I was helping a friend sheep hunt. We both killed on the same day. If you look at the bottom of the pic you can see the bloody arrow.

Here is the goat. He went less that 40 yds.

Then we took a day off and drove 40+ miles on a dirt road to the 94 deg. hot spring. Life is good!

A few days later my son and I went deer hunting. We took this spot and stalk buck the first day of the hunt. Aaron was behind me and he said "man when the arrow hit it sounded like a 2x4 breaking!" Gave the buck a heart ache!! Now off to chase elk!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-24-09 AT 07:08AM (MST)[p]I would say that's a mighty fine season in Oregon already. If you kill an elk that would be the season of a lifetime in Oregon. What a great state for bowhunting opportunity!
