Finally got my elk tag! Any input on this unit would be appreciated. I have hunted 17 late for deer in the last few years. Are all the elk in the wilderness areas in the Monitor Range? Is it something you can day hike to or should I prepare to pack in? I have two horses and I am not opposed to at least hiring a local outfitter for a drop camp. Season dates are Nov. 6-20.
