Just got ahold of this pic and thought you might want to see it. The buck was killed by my late Uncle. He shot it in 1967 with his recurve. I believe it nets 223 6/8.
LAST EDITED ON Jan-23-06 AT 11:20PM (MST)[p]The buck was killed in Nevada in 1967. Its an 8X7 thats around 37-38" wide. Currently the head is at my uncles friends house. I'll try to find out more info.
NV4life, thanks for sharing that pic; nothing is cooler then an old time picture of an awesome buck. For sentimental reasons I'd do whatever it takes to get that buck back into the family, just my two cents.
Whoa, no way that buck only scores 223! That frigging thing is the real pizz cutter (For you academia types, thats NOT pizza cutter.) Totally awesome. I'd like to see the score sheet. thanks for posting.
Thats what they have the score listed in the Nevada wildlife record book. I remember that when it was first scored in the 90s it was #3 in the world for p&y velvet catagory. My dad has a pic of it at a show back east and I could have swore that the score card said 228 and change in the pic. But I could be wrong 8s and 3s look alike.
