HOME TOWN!! your guys better be ready from more griz and more wolf encounters this year! things have not improved at all! If anything, and from the sounds of it, things are worst! my three friends, that guide elk and deer hunts in the fall, have all had lots of problems with griz so far this year. in camp, on the trials, charging them, on killed animals before the hunter can claim it!, griz following blood trails, and griz following gun shots! The shot of a rifle means two things to griz--dead animal or gut bile! not to scare you, but be prepaired, be ready, and have a plan of attack ready before it actually happens. If I had to guess, you probably were hunting out of the bobcat trail head--which is a gold mine for griz, due to the ranches near by and the dead animal pits these ranches create! I have filmed, seen, and encountered over a dozen griz in this drainage over the course of one season! Let me know where you are head, and I can give you more details! hope this helps
