Storms just keep lining up

All I said was we can stop praying for more and you guys blow your pants out...LOL

Keep praying! Start fasting and praying for more water!

Ok now one at a time here....you guys are too much fun....

redeyeboober.... you are a fool. I feel like I am arguing with the drunk homeless guy sitting on the corner on my way out of the "delta center" :). Seriously though. You have no formal college education...which is fine. But, man you really suck at forming an argument.

Do you realize the articles you posted in #193 above are JUNK! AT BEST! One talks about how the nation needs to spend $1T on water infrastructure and the next goes on about how IRON COUNTY CAUSED THEIR OWN PROBLEMS....LOL You have never written a formal argument, a college research paper, or any technical writing in YOUR LIFE!

Your articles prove St George does have water for 1m people. Its simple. As water shares increase in value...ag sales it...homes buy it...70% of the water here has been going to things like the Sod farm the Stuckii's were running on the East side of the valley...gone...homes now...using 1/100th of the water the sod farm was. I dont like it...but thats what will happen and 1 million people will too.

So, redeyedboober...you lose bud...you posted crap articles...you prove my point...you call names...but I am the bad guy....KEEP PRAYING BUD! AND LAY OFF THE SAUCE LOL!

Vanilla, you are worse that the big redeyeboober...you have no facts...you are dismissed based on sheer retardation

Deerlove, you want to know about NonTypical? Look at their website, prices, seasons, limits on new customers, then look at G and the changes to the seasons, changes to the point restrictions...

Come on bro, do a little research. My turn to ask questions since you just type some INSTAGRAM type quick response and dont do any research of your own...

How many letters did you write to the state after the big winter kill a few years ago?
How many letters did you write to the wildlife commission?
What was the deer population in 1999?
What is it now?
What percent of fawn crop was lost between 2014 and 2018 each year?
What do you propose we do to change and improve and restore the herd in Wyoming?
How big was my buck in 2018 despite all the issues :) ?

Lets just get you off the sauce too....it will get better bud. There is hope for your drinking and diabetic shock issues.
______________________________________________________

JakeH....you are .... well... how do you say "complete dumbazz" in english?

You say I am wrong for saying "if you want rain move to Seattle"

Whats wrong with that? You know what crazy is? Moving to the deserts of the southwest and praying for rain! LOL IT IS A DESERT! It would be like moving to Iran and praying for peace.

Anyway...you are what? 11 years old? So I dont want to be too tough on ya. Take it easy lil guy
______________________________________________________

buckhorn...who would have guessed you would become my favorite :)

The problem with lake Mead and Powell is they sold too much water. WOW! Tough to believe huh!? The gov oversold social security, mismanaged obamacare, sold to many elk tags for Monroe at the rigged bs hunt expo.....and yes....sold too much water.

Do a little research and use a little common sense.
a. The Colorado river has not changed production the last 100 years compared to the previous 1000 years
b. Each state took too much water and there is no agreement in place to stop the states from over using the resource and they refuse to come back to the table.

If water production does go down.
a. 90% of the water in the west goes to ag
b. half of the personal consumption in the west goes to grass.
c. a small percentage is used for showering or drinking or cooking......

We gonna be fine! Just get the gov to manage your elk, deer, and water better....oh and social security....lol...ya good luck....its not an issue with God stopping the water, or with needing to pray more....or even an issue with global warming or drought....ITS A MONEY ISSUE! HMMMM whoda thunk it.

redeyeboober....post #204 proves you are a drunk.

oh...redeyeboober...you are also a loser....just wanted to add that.

lol...in the article you posted did you read about how IRON COUNTRY has a lake that filled in with silt and it is stopping the aquafer from refilling....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Or, maybe the part about how THEY OVERSOLD THE WATER SHARES! LOL...You are too good.

Stumble down the road ya old drunk. Find a cozy dumpster, crawl in....and never wake up.

I produced screen shots of actual water percentages in actual locations of the west....we have enough lol!

Are you sure you didn't pull this outa your butt?

The winter range here looks as good as it ever will and you can't even get to the high country. Damn good water year and we need more like it :)

Bluehair
Splitting my time time between the winter and summer range......
May you live long enough to cash in those preference points. Amen

Cooper, and here I thought that while we disagreed on the winter and it's benefits, we had remained civil. I guess that went out the window? Sorry that the data doesn't back up your claims of the sky falling. I won't even say that you're lying about what you saw. But if you're incapable of not taking personal shots just because I think the winter has been good, you're nobody I want to associate with anyway.

Aspen- No, you're dumb! (Wow, that was a burn!!!!) But you were just joking all along. Thems was just jokes, settle down. Totally kidding all along. Yep, we believe ya.

But back to the moisture. Bring on more! We can use it (and will).

Ok good plan vanilla

I'm fasting and praying for more water

Heaven must know we need more water to keep our sacred golf courses green!

Humans are pretty fickle. Last November when the Camp fire broke out here in CA, people were praying for rain. A month later the atmospheric river moved in and people started praying for the rain to stop. I think God gets confused. Me personally? I pray that people will wise up and create more water storage for the lean years.

Vanilla, how will I ever be able to google and know all as you, your highness, we don't associate, I state an observation and it didn't match what you read on the internet, if it's on the internet, it's gotta be true!!!! Roll on Vanilla the almighty king of the internet search

The only person that has talked about praying in church for more rain is you. You realize that, right? I suspect you're a few sandwiches short of a picnic up top, so you might have forgotten that you created that argument yourself and now are arguing against it. It's got to be entertaining fighting with yourself though. It sure is entertaining to watch on my end!

Coop, you definitely know more than SNOTEL sites on how much snow is around. Mind if I just PM you next year instead of looking at their fake data? I want to make sure what I'm getting is accurate, so I better go to the real source, which I've learned is you. Willing to help a brother out?

Bring on the rains! Most reservoirs are full or filling. Everything is green. Animals are eating and are healthy. Those with tags in their pockets this fall are looking at great possibilities. I'm thankful for all that!

Anytime you want to know what I've seen in the area that I know about I'd be more than happy to tell you, but guys like you don't need to see things first hand, you have google, hopefully I'm not interrupting an internet scouting session, good luck !!!!!!

Here's to hoping keep up with a little summer rains to keep the feed good so maybe we'll see better horn growth than last year. I'm out.

You are delusional and need to read your own posts again. I make a much better argument here than you. Now you claim all that you said is we need to stop praying for water. That isn't even close to your post of mocking an old lady for praying in church. You are now running away from your own words. You can't even put a paragraph together, yet you mock my education. Try again.

I guarantee my posts are a better argument than qnything you've posted. Let's take a poll on it. You have stated zero actual facts and have nothing to back it up unless you count what your neighbor told you. You can't even extrapolate data from a weather site correctly. Everyone on this thread has called bullchit on you and you still think your argument is right because there is snow on Pine Valley mountain and Gunlock reservoir is at full capacity.

The article I linked from the Washington County Water Conservancy district, Ron Thompson, specifically talks about the need for the Lake Powell pipeline to Kane and WASHINGTON counties (last time I checked St. George was in Washington county) and that the needs for that pipeline are due to INCREASED GROWTH AND DROUGHT. So please argue that based on fact, not opinion and emotion. Put up or shut up!

Lol this thread is laughable ... I agree

On a good note. Antler growth will be awesome this year. Go get some big bucks guys!

Aspen no one is debating if the moisture we are receiving (snow or rain) is causing some problems we all know it is. There has been some deer, elk and other big game loss and diffently farmers and home owners pay a price but it is a price we all have to pay because of the drought that technically we have been in for more than 30 years. When good springs have dried up most hunters, farmers and ranchers are humbled and blessed too receive as much moisture as we can get. There is a few on this thread saying that they have witness some severe winter loss of deer and I am not question that but I will say is in my opinion most of the loss can be attributed to the poor shape the winter range is in, we really need to push the state and federal government to get something done about the range land and be willing to help out ourselves as hunters.
The reason so many are pointing out the claims you (Aspen) are making, they are absurd and even insulting.

Gonna Give You Boys a Quick Lesson on Water!

There's Either Too Much!

Or Not Enough!

Maybe Global Flooding is Happening?

And Please Do Tell us what you're gonna do about it?

:D:D:D!!!

I know so many people in so many places
They make allot of money but they got sad faces

It Ain't Easy being Me!:D:D:D

We received a fresh blanket of snow down to 6000 feet today. Just above St George?s palm trees.

Lovin this summer weather!

I have put a ton of money into my daughters outdoor wedding this weekend. It was supposed to be nice and warm. Which one of you are still praying for more?

Aspen the 7 day forecast shows this weakened in St George is supposed to be about perfect. I hope it is the best.
I will pray your daughter has a blessed marriage.
Congratulations.

Your daughters face is insulting so I'm praying for a mud storm at the wedding to cover it up.

Sarcasm lol.

Lol :)

The wedding is in American Fork Utah. Hoping the weather turns out up there too. I wish it was in St. George because it is very sunny here usually.

All kidding aside hopefully this weather isn't ruining anybody?s memorial day plans. Hopefully you are all out there enjoying it and remembering the warriors who made it possible.

My current situation precludes me from caring about your opinion but go ahead and give voice to it anyway...

Last year the sage was dormant, this year it is vibrant and beautiful.

Both years you guys were pretty much all ugly...

I will agree. Down here there is a plant called "Mormon Tea" It always looks like it is barely hanging on. This year it is amazingly green. I am sure all this growth is going to be awesome for the critters.

There is a guy down the street from me I am just getting to know. Hunts more locally than anyone I have ever met. Trail cams, turkeys, scouts the deer movements in the spring, I mean you name it he does it. He has killed some 380+ bulls and 200+ mulies. Has piles of antlers...as in killed bucks...in his garage. House looks like a museum.

Anyway...he was getting excited the other day. So, when a guy like that gets excited about the water and the potential antler growth this year then you know there is really something to get excited about. He says the growth on the Kaibab should be phenominal as long as we get a bit more rain in July so things dont crisp off. But, he did say the bucks he sees already have great looking bases forming and his is sure there will be some bruisers coming out this year. He says it does this every 15 to 20 years and this one is going to be good.

So, get out there and find them this year guys!

How about telling me who your neighbor that hunts is in a pm. If he hunts much and has lived there very long I'm sure I know him. I used to know most of the hunting/gun guys there from my days managing the hurst hunting dept. Between that and Dixie Wildlife, it was a pretty small circle.

He is a member of one of the families that owns construction businesses and a great big Sodfarm down here. They hunt in a group of 20 or 30 people and dominate canyons as they move through. They do a great job.

Here is the latest from all the water. Crazy thing is the mountains here are still slammed. The melt really hasn't happened yet.

Midwest has to much water, But I know farmers are b!tching about it. But all are saying in the next breath it all good the ground needs the water and the Sloughes and Dam's need filling. But next time we wouldn't pray that hard for it to rain.
H#ll last week they was planting corn and the ground froze that night so they just got work harder and smarter before the next rain hits them.
Calving out the last 2 month's in cold, snow and rain was tough on everything Cows,Calves and Farmers.

When i look at this thread it started back February 27 and hear we are May 31 and still asking for mother nature to stop with the storms. Kind of funny.

I just read that in Utah only 1982 was wetter. This is the second wettest spring on record. It beat the old record Held for second place by the year 1876. Other than 1982 It was 1876 last time it rained this much.

and if you were here you should remember the spring of 1983 we had really hot weather all of a sudden and all time flooding. I lived in Lehi at the time and everyone was sandbagging. People were canoeing down State street in Salt Lake City. Utah Lake rose over the freeway. The Great Salt Lake flooded over the freeway. It took several years for the water levels to subside. Afterwards the state spent millions of dollars on huge pumps so that the Great Salt Lake could be pumped out to the flats if it ever happened again. Those pumps have never seen water and are far away from the water now. I don't believe they would still be usable anymore.
Here where I am in Oak City, 2005 was the greatest all time Calendar year (since records have been kept in 1905) for water at 21.72" total. 1983 is third place at 20.23" and 1982 is ninth place at 18.23". That is localized records to here only and state wide total records could and probably do vary some.

For the water year here (starting October 1) we are at 18.59". For the Calendar year it is 13.27", which is already above average for an entire year. We are on track to break records or at least be in the top 5.

It is a shame we don't have a reservoir here to hold irrigation water, because the runoff from Oak Creek canyon alone has created a lake in the Sand dunes that is probably a mile and a half long and 20' deep in places. Some of that water will soak into the aquifer but the rest will evaporate and blow away.

Check your facts. It is 2011 that is first. The figure is from March 1 to May 31 but for the water year 1982 has more moisture.
Aspen Looks like you should have a good day tomorrow for a wedding I guess the old blue hair lady's stopped praying for moisture.

I know I am loving all this wet weather! Got a LE elk tag in the pocket for this year. Can't think of a better year to have a big bull tag than this year with all this rain! Should be a great year to see what the mountain has to offer!

I have checked my facts and I watch religiously. I am speaking of my area exclusively (Oak City), I said that and also said other areas will vary.

Here are the facts for this local weather station and other records that go back to 1905.

-total consecutive 365 days for precip., (not water year or calendar year) is October 19, 2004-October 18, 2005 with 25.06" of water.

- Calendar year record is 2005 with 21.72"

-total water year is 2004-2005 at 24.22"

- Most water in a single month is October 1946 with 5.2"

There are other areas here in Millard county with better records such as Scipio

If you would like to confirm my facts I use finarv.net which is a local weather station and it is the most complete and accurate data FOR MY AREA.

Sorry deadi not meaning you check facts I was pointing out aspen.
The story aspen was talking about was reported several times on multi news media forms about Salt Lake city having the second wettest spring. 2011 was the wettest followed by 2019,1876,1986and 1944.
I know the Oak Creek had alot of snow and it stayed late I was waiting for the snow to pull off of the draw I wanted to go look for some antlers but when it finaly did I was too busy on them weak ends I suppose if you snooze you loose.
Sorry for the confusion.

It was a close call but the wedding was good. I was just going off the information off of the KSL article. I think they had a specific time they were measuring.

It was interesting to read. You can see it at KSL.com

This whole discussion has been ringing in my head part of a saying that old people worry about the weather. My in-laws are living proof.

Cheers- Dave

Gotcha, not a problem. Sometimes these threads that get big and lots of people involved, it's sometimes hard to know who a comment is directed at.

I did go to church today and prayed for rain. Then I went and found the smallest and oldest lady there that I could and punched her in the mouth

Probably hard for you to believe since you don't have any friends :)

Have you seriously never hunted this way?

They have apps to help you have friends. Download one and try to find one

No I have seriously never hunted that way.

Gang hunting is for dumbass Utards like you.

No wonder you Tards always have 20 people in your field photos.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-03-19 AT 03:49PM (MST)[p]I make any comment and twolies starts measuring.

Has a 1? tape and its too much for him :)

Its ok twolies. No friends, no stick, but least ya got your goats.

I'm only concerned about measuring snow, and we got a lot!

It was an interesting experience flying into the state from the north this last weekend and seeing things from above. What was really surprising to me is how much less snow we had up north than we did through central Utah and down south.

There was a distinct and noticeable difference in the amount of snow left in the mountains the farther south we traveled. There was just more and more snow still remaining in the mountains as we went south.

Looking at the weather forecast, we get into the mid 80s this week which will start bringing a ton of that stuff down, but then we get a few days down into the low 60s to slow things down again before jumping back up to the 80s. And it's supposed to be mostly dry during this time. Sounds like great conditions for runoff, without getting too extreme too quickly. I'm sure there will be some flooding, but it could definitely be worse.

Good news is antlers are definitely bigger this year. I am impressed with the animals I am seeing. I just received a picture from the scouting trip some guys took that I know on San Juan in Utah. The bulls are huge already.
