I am planning on taking the kids to see the grand Canyon for spring break. I was also hoping to do a little exploring in unit 10. I just want to get the feel of the area for when i am able to hunt there. does anyone have any suggestions where i could find a camping spot. Any help would be appreciated.

10 has alot of camping. It depends if you are tent camping or bringing a rv or trailer? Some of the roads can get rough in spots. Also remember 10 has the checkerboard between private and forest service land, so bring a map.

Unit 10 has many good camping and hunting areas. If you are looking to get familiar with the unit I would recommend spending each night in a different area just so you can get a look at a lot of country. You might like to camp in the Pine Canyon area north of Pica Camp in the Aubrey Cliff area one night and spend a day in the Williams corner near Hearst Mountain. You might also want to drive out the Willaha Road from Redlands north to the Supai Road. There's a lot of country in between so you might want to make more than one trip.
