LAST EDITED ON Oct-02-16 AT 05:06PM (MST)[p]I hunted unit three successfully this weekend, tagged a medium buck. Opening morning I was on a ridge just below the Godiva Rim before the sun came up, the goats I had glassed at last light Friday were gone. I saw movement about a half mile away and glassed it. There were six of the largest coyotes I have ever seen. They were also very dark gray, one was charcoal colored. Three were laying down. After watching them for five minutes the leader took off down the trail and the rest lined up in single file and followed the leader out of sight. I've been hunting coyotes for thirty years and never seen this behavior in six coyotes before. Also odd were no young or sub adults. We were ten miles south of the Wyoming border. Mighty odd for yotes, don't you think?
