I have 1 bonus point for general deer and I would like to take my son who has 0 points. When they average the points and round down, is my points 0 or 1?

Utah rounds down, so you will have 0 together.

How young is your son ? If you put him by himself he may have better odds then you? They hold back a percentage of tags for the youth.

Depends on which general unit also. Some are harder to draw so he would have a much better chance going on his own as a youth for the 20% of tags they hold for youth. My boys draw every other year on Pine Valley unit. If just he draws you can focus on him which is what I like. I put in for archery and the boys for the any weapon which means they can hunt all three weapons and I can focus on them and not have divided attention trying to hunt myself. Make the best memories when you play guide for them and it is more exciting for them to tag out than for myself.
