Not to be a spoiled sport... but in nearly ten years of working in that unit during antelope season, this is the slowest year that I have seen.
The antelope are distributed very oddly and the smoke, haze, and other factors are making it difficult to do a thorough job of spotting them. In addition, the drought over the last year seems to have affected horn growth. I am seeing smaller and thinner horns. A check with the local taxidermy shops seems to confirm what I am seeing.
Perhaps the second season will be a different story.
