I liked this same thread last year. Pretty fun to see who put in for what hunts and why. Sooo... Now that the application period is over, what did you all put in for?
I have 12 LE Deer points. Last year I was in the top point pool for the Book Cliffs Multi-Season tag. 6 of the 8 guys in my pool got the tag- I did not. That makes me a pretty good candidate for that tag this year. After careful consideration, including late hunt dates for both the Muzzy (I can never take off the end of Sept. at work) and Rifle hunts (migratory hunt in the Books)...
I put in for the Book Cliffs Multi-Season once again. This will give me 6 days to hunt with the Muzz, and an entire Rifle hunt if necessary (and if I'm lucky). I know the Books gets a bad rap, but I know of a few giants that made it through last season. ;-) ;-) And my family has hunted it before with great success. I'm looking forward to an exciting year full of scouting and hunting.
