LAST EDITED ON Oct-07-14 AT 11:31PM (MST)[p]I shot this buck on the 3rd day of an elk/deer combo hunt. I didn't see any bulls worth harvesting so when I seen this buck with a smaller 4 point, I decided that since he was forked good and tall, he was well worth taking a 335 yard shot at. He dropped immediately after the shot and there was no ground shrinkage here. The taxidermist figured that he was an older deer by his teeth wear and his old roman nose face. I couldn't be any happier to harvest such a great deer with good friends there to watch it all unfold. Now back to the hills in November since my 15 year old daughter has a Whitetail buck tag. When she gets hers, We are going to have the 2 mounted together on a pedistal for remembering our 2014 hunts.
