more than ever now it's getting close to huntn time! I hope my wife and employer still want me after it's over...hehe

I just went over the calendar with the wife and realized the wife will not have a weekend with me home until the first week of November! She hasn't been talking too much to me the last couple of days.....she'll get over it eventually!

Its like when the geese fly south for the winter! The same thing happens every year!!!! My favorite is when you start going through your gear and start getting it ready to go and she says " Where are you going?" Hunting! Where does it look like Im going? "well you didn't tell me! What day are you leaving? When will you be back? Are you taking your dog?" All I can say is OMG to my fellow hunters. I've been doing this with the same person for 18 years and I still get the same s__t every season so good luck when your in the field and good luck whenever you get home!!!!

BFM - that is soooooo funny! I hear ya brother! My wife and I have a great marriage and love each other very much but when it comes to hunting, watch out! It's like I always tell her, "I only go hunting three times...... Antelope season, deer season, and elk season." And no, she doesn't think it's funny :)

Years ago a friend of mine had an attitude like all of you. Hunt was his middle name. He had a great wife who would embroidery hunting pictures on his shirt, always told him to go and have fun. Every year this would go on all fall. He lived in Brunswick, GA and one year he came out to Utah and hunted with me. WOW what a wife!!

Come to find out she was having an affair with his best friend.

After that he was paying alimony and child support - mental cruelty was the charge.

Hunting will take you so far, better keep the money coming in, and treat your wife better than your dog.

wybighorn: You beat me to the punch! Cannonball, we all find the humor in it thats why we bring it up. Sorry, but your buddies old lady doesn't go hunting when he leaves because she's happy with the situation. Good luck hunting this season.

No I wasn't the best friend. Only been married once and to many years to count. I'm lucky, my wife, is one in a million, likes to go with me, but I can also go with the boys.

I sure felt sorry for him though. He never saw it coming.

Well i'm guessing she didn't only cheat during hunting season kinda sounds like an excuse to me.
If you don't go hunting because your afraid your old lady will cheat on you i think you have more problems in your marriage then you think.

Should I be worried than? I came home this weekend and my wife had new sitka gear waiting for me. Hahaha. All this time I thought I was just plain lucky to have her. Now you guys are making me wonder if the milk man is coming over once I head to the high country! Just kidding fellas.
