Who Next?

A Billion Dollars
Go's to show ya that a fool and his money is soon parted.
After I lost a 100 million I would of bail out losing another 900 million would be stupid.

Trump ran for president because he loves this country and wanted to drain the swamp.
To make America great again.
But the left wanted nothing to do with that!
Do you believe that's why he's considering running again? Or could there be ulterior motives this time?

I believe the same as you buckhorn, to the letter but clearly many others do not.

I read lots of posts wherein many didn’t want Trump or Biden as there President. Didn’t want them anywhere near politics. That’s the whole reason I started this thread and asked the question, “Who Then”.

Now after a thousand responses, very few members have suggested someone else. Some have said millions could do better, even neighbors down the street could do better. Cheney and DeSantis have been chosen by a small handful, to represent the GOP but other than one member, who mentioned Michelle Obama no one, that I can remember has made a case for a DNC nominee.

While this post has represented a tiny proportion of MM members, and certainly doesn’t represent a representative sample, (which in the beginning, was never intended to do) it does seem to reflex a frustrated public, a public very much stuck in the past and anxious and apprehensive about the future. I think that does very much parallel the general public as well. That said, it seems, at this time, there is still a very uncertain public about who will represent the DNC in 2024 and considerable reluctance on the part of the GOP to have Donald Trump represent them.

The discussions have, for the most part been fairly subdued, and still, a lot seemed to reflect strong opinions, defended with well articulated reasoning. I didn’t sense much compromise and would say we’re all well dug in and not likely give much to the left or the right, at the moment. It will be quite interesting to see if that changes much over the next 2 years.

Thank you Founder for allowing this discussion to continue, I think it does demonstrate two good things. One, the Campfire can handle multiple subject matters, at the same time, and second, your members can keep it functionally cordual when they want too.

Trump is a disgraced loser who's most likely going to be indicted. the discussion here is supposed to be about who's next and it 's not going to be that useless con man so he's no longer relevant to the next election.

Cheney needs to run as an independent and win. independents never have the financing to be competitive in the past, not a problem for her she'd be buried in cash.

Trump will not be indicted and Cheney will not run or win. Next.

Not going to support your man Brandon? Gas prices, taking showers with his daughter, tons of fentayl coming in, thousands of illegals, biden phones, inflation, biden dealings in urkaine and China, cant complete a sentence that makes sense, Easter bunny keeping biden in control, press secretary that reads note cards, picking a judge based on color and sex, having a VP that just laughs all the time, keystone pipeline, Afghanistan, to the point I can't keep track

Trump let it be known that he's in deep trouble. He'll probably surrender to the authorities sometime this week.

Tulsi Gabbard is good.
She has a good head on her shoulders.
She is honest.
The left wing radicals would never support her as a Dem candidate for Pres.
The criminals that are now in power will run someone that is just as crooked as they are.

I would vote for DeSantis for president. I would also hope that he would hire Trump as an advisor. There are lots of republican senators, congressmen and governors that would be a much better president than anyone coming from the left.

No bluehair, if the cops had been there they would have stopped any organized lawbreaking as Trump wanted and was fearful it might happen. Pelosi wanted otherwise and again failed to follow good advice. Talk about tunnel vision, or is it party loyalty.

I’ll tell you the same thing I tell anyone who questions my Republican credentials.

1). trump is the only democrat I’ve ever voted for

2) I’ve been a registered Republican a hell of a lot longer than trump has.

Facts.

This is actually one of the funniest things about the lefts trump derangement syndrome. He could have just as easily run as a democrat , played up his relationship with Jesse Jackson and the like in the 80’s/90’s. Played up all his celebrity buddies from his TV run, snoop dog and all and the “liberals” would love him for wanting to drain the swamp. Put an R next his name and abracadabra he’s racist.

So funny. Sheep like twat don’t have a single thought in there head until msnbc puts it in there, he’d have loved this guy if bill marr told him to.think even ole bill probably loved trump on celebrity apprentice then he got told not to :ROFLMAO: ( I know it’s spelled wrong, f that douche bag)

The issues confronting this country currently are those created by the very people we have elected to serve and those rich enough to fix the game. The fact they're manipulating every single facet of our lives and the media is leading us to the trough only reinforces how we're being lead down the path to perdition. If you sit back and look at the entire chain of events confronting us since Obama told us " we're ready to fundamentally change our nation" it's all being done to our own detriment.

These events are not elective choices made by " WE THE PEOPLE". The old phrase "there's overwhemling public support showing approval for these programs" and the old tired " along with " the polls show" are nothing more than a figment of their imagination being used to bludgeon us into submission using their media driven propaganda machine.

The big lie really isn't really the big lie at all, it's simply the vehicle they're utilizing to hide the fact unmonitored ballot boxes, dead people voting, unlimited mail in ballots, chain of posession issues, bad voters rolls, and illegal immigrants casting ballots that were actually counted in the last election. The fact the legal process makes it impossible to bring many of these issues up in the correct timeframe to stop the outcomes work against us in the whole fair election charade.

The uniparty knows full well that election integrity is paramount into duping us that all's well. Let the public find out that elective outcomes can be manipulated and they know the ruse is up and we"ll take it out on those who choose to decieve us. Here's a little tid bit for you to digest.....elections in this country while largely fair and honest have been manipulated for decades in many areas. The elective process has been watered down by all sorts of political tricks and nonsense that were done to keep one party in power., The fact they opened the floodgates in the last big election are proof positive that methods were changed that in some cases were directly opposed to legal voting laws in some states. So the guys making the rules BENT the rules to allow illegal votes to be cast and counted!

So lets see the guys imposing their will on us today changed the rules to allow them to be able to continue the process by removing candidates, laws, or voter oppostion to their plan. The old "potomac two step" at it's finest........That's right and if you think Mark Zuckerberg throwing 450 MILLION into unfettered, unmonitored ballot boxes sitting on city streets allowing votes to be cast at all hours, insured election integrity, well here's your sign. Then factor in multiple ballots being sent to vacant homes that actually wound up in the election being counted and ballots being counted for days and days after the polls closed, you can see why the alarms went off!!

So no candidate or group can gather up enough positive proof before the electors were certified and here we are..........With no way of provening things in such a short timeframe ANY elected official is under the same constraints...... so the election must have been honest..........Trump lost the election to Biden since he couldn't prove otherwise.........and the uniparty was all in making sure that the public knew our election integrity was intact! It's been done that way for decades so it must be fine. Trump was delegitimized as a sore loser and a liar. Yet there's been these holes in our elective process for years and some new wrinkles were thrown in this election that made things a bit far less secure..........HMMMMM

Trump lost!! In reality by the process he did! the press and the uniparty have confirmed it........

and it's Russia's fault gas is so high and store shelves are empty and many businesses can't find anyone who wants a job even after the covid shut half of America down...... There's some high level gaming being done here and severe planning and manipulation, to fill their wallets with more of your money.

They're twisting every American to push us towards that "UTOPIAN SOCIALIST NEW WORLD ORDER.... and we know that's the case since they finally admitted it and their polls support it since we hear it everyday.......your concerns and rights are secondary to the interests of the UNIPARTY. Keep your eyes open boys if it looks like, wiggles like, and smells like it's fish, it's a damn fish even though the propaganda will tell you it's not.

Exactly, people think they want free market everything until they get it. as a farmer I wish like hell the government would get completely out and let the slackjaws get what they asked for. I'd make a fortune and they'd scream like mashed cats.

Cali, have you ever met a crackhead conspiracy theory you didn't like ? give it a break dude. maybe the reason 100% of the time your stories are never proven true is because they're not ? think on that a while. sometimes a thing is just what it looks like, reality is a hell of a concept try it.

Reagan keeps coming up. but I have to assume most of the MAGATS are either too young to remember him or like RELH they're too old to remember him. because Reagan was much closer to Biden than Trump as president and today he'd be considered a progressive lib. you do know both he and Ford supported the Clinton Rambo gun ban right ? didn't think so....

Ford and Reagan were the best presidents in my lifetime. Trump was the worst in the nation's history and the damage may never be contained.

Desantis will be the 2024 GOP nominee . the dem nomination is wide open it won't be Biden or Harris.

The laptop is Hunter's that is a known fact .The main stream media can not be trusted because they should have reported on this prior to the election. The Biden crime family is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Washington cronyism.

"The latest leaks from Hunter Biden’s laptop do not fare well for the Biden's or their shady family business. As Rep. James Comer has stated, Republicans see Hunter Biden as a “national security risk” as investigations into his international dealings with both Russia and China continue. The voicemail revelation also further calls into question President Biden’s own role in his son’s compromising affairs, and his trustworthiness after repeatedly lying about his involvement."

HOUSTON, July 5 (Reuters) - More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency reserves release to lower domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices hit record highs.
About 1 million barrels per day is being released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) through October. The flow is draining the SPR, which last month fell to the lowest since 1986. U.S. crude futures are above $100 per barrel and gasoline and diesel prices above $5 a gallon in one-fifth of the nation. U.S. officials have said oil prices could be higher if the SPR had not been tapped.

"The SPR remains a critical energy security tool to address global crude oil supply disruptions," a Department of Energy spokesperson said, adding that the emergency releases helped ensure stable supply of crude oil.

The fourth-largest U.S. oil refiner, Phillips 66 (PSX.N), shipped about 470,000 barrels of sour crude from the Big Hill SPR storage site in Texas to Trieste, Italy, according to U.S. Customs data. Trieste is home to a pipeline that sends oil to refineries in central Europe.

Atlantic Trading & Marketing (ATMI), an arm of French oil major TotalEnergies (TTEF.PA), exported 2 cargoes of 560,000 barrels each, the data showed.

Phillips 66 declined to comment on trading activity. ATMI did not respond to a request for comment.

Cargoes of SPR crude were also headed to the Netherlands and to a Reliance (RELI.NS) refinery in India, an industry source said. A third cargo headed to China, another source said.

At least one cargo of crude from the West Hackberry SPR site in Louisiana was set to be exported in July, a shipping source added.

"Crude and fuel prices would likely be higher if (the SPR releases) hadn't happened, but at the same time, it isn't really having the effect that was assumed," said Matt Smith, lead oil analyst at Kpler.

The latest exports follow three vessels that carried SPR crude to Europe in April helping replace Russian crude supplies. read more

U.S. crude inventories are the lowest since 2004 as refineries run near peak levels. Refineries in the U.S. Gulf coast were at 97.9% utilization, the most in three and a half years.

It was 50 years ago yesterday that Nixon infiltrated Watergate. It took over two years for the investigation to ultimately lead the leaders of the Republican Party to march into the Oval Office and tell Nixon they no longer supported him for tampering with an election and he was thus forced to resign.

Trump attempted to do something far worse, and continues to tell the lie today, that he rightfully won and that ONE PERSON, the Vice President, could choose the next President. Just imagine the long term damage that would do (for instance, Kamala could instill herself as next President in two years).
Grizzly,

You forgot or ignored what happened to the Trump campaign by our own intelligence agencies under BHO. He along with Hillary's team weaponized the FBI, DOJ, Big Tech, and a totally corrupt media in an effort to frame people in Trumps group. These acts are much worse IMO than anything Nixon people did. It cost us dearly as a nation, and has contributed to more distrust in all our institutions of government.

We watched Trump fill arenas repeatedly, while Bidens had trouble getting anyone to show up as his events. I do not believe this diminished shell that is Joe Biden really got 81 million votes. The mail in balloting and the compliant media played a huge roll in his defeat in several key battle ground states. The State and Supreme Courts whiffed on this IMO not wanting to be the ones to make this controversial call.

The result is we are stuck with a mentally defective president and the dullest cabinet in history. The exit in Afghanistan, and the self-made energy crisis empowered Putin's Russia to strike Ukraine, like they did in the Obama years. We are in deep **** with this lack of leadership at such a perilous time. Now closer to the brink of a World War that, unlike climate change, could end the Earth as we know it. all the while the News media seems only concerned with Trans-gender rights, correct pronouns, parents who dare think their values matter, a wide open border, The fricken climate, and off course too many guns (not muskets) in the hands of law abiding citizens. I don't think the protestors mostly armed with cell phones on Jan. 6th constitute a planned insurrection. They deserve to be charged with trespassing, in some cases assault, and a need due process like anyone from BLM or Antifa . What's happening to most of them is a shamefully partisan attack, designed to keep the rest of the public in submission.

My biggest fear is that a 3rd party might split the conservative vote (like Ross P.) and result in another Democrat (any democrat) in the White House in 2024. 1.) Much effort needs to be exerted to convince the public that the vote is legit. (easy to vote hard to cheat) 2.) I hope Trump will be satisfied that his American First Agenda will be continued if he is not the nominee. I feel we may be best served by a leader that is slightly less polarizing. Be sides, I still want the new Republican President to appoint Trump as the ambassador to Russia, or maybe as our rep to the UN just to watch the left melt-down.

You just wrote a whole bunch of stuff about Hillary, Russia, Afghanistan, Putin, stolen elections, Antifa, transgender people, BLM, and a bunch of other key trigger words for a certain ideology.

None of it absolves Trump from trying to overturn an election and instill himself as an unelected leader of an almost-to-be-former-Democracy.

There are avenues via court, even the Supreme Court, which has proven friendly to conservatives, to air any grievances and seek relief. Trump tried... and failed... EVERY TIME!

He lost. Everybody knows it, including his own Cabinet and family members, and they're on tape and under oath saying just that.

Frankly though, it's okay with me if you think that something that Hillary did or didn't do makes it okay to no longer have free and fair elections and let one person pick future Presidents. I simply disagree with you.

Thank you for staying respectful in your post. You can have the last word if you'd like.

Don't care if it's revenge, being orange, purple or blue, as long as the gas prices are low, inflation is low, and the stock market is up. Oh and we have baby formula for babies.

And we stick it to China, Russia and Saudis. Not sure why this is hard for liberals to understand?

Trump has gone through life never having to face the consequences for his actions. He is where he is because he was/is a self-centered narcissist. With regards to the 2020 election and its aftermath, sooner or later even Trump has to face the consequences for his actions. Perhaps the events of January 6 and his role in that sad day's events and the lead up to that day is what was needed to bring him to his end. Even if the legal system will address the Trump problem, it will be a long drawn-out process in which the DOJ and the state of Georgia construct their case's against Trump. It is doubtful Merrick Garland will consider indictments against Trump directly, unless he's sure he can get a conviction. However, those associated with Trump and his activities might be subject of indictments, in the hopes that they might throw Trump under the bus in exchange for leniency.

Educated Republicans who are left in the party and were appalled at the events of January 6 and Trump's general behavior will back DeSantis. The donor class is likely in this category.

Trump will still have his rural, lower educated, Qanon believing base till the very end, because anything said in the media is "fake news," so January 6 and Trump's behavior is all fake or does not bother them. Many of these voters are fine installing Trump as the King of the US or our dictator for life.

Trump is only persuasive to idiots, only funny unintentionally, and only charismatic to psychopaths.

And yet he is 1000x better than the idiot in office now. Not sure which part of that do you not understand? Also, go easy on name calling there...

Make no mistake about it, Gramps is no genius or even above average Pres. Gramps accomplished his only job - which was to win in 2020 and get Trump out of the WH.

Again why would we want another almost 80 year old running the show? Trump is sounding more and more like he wants to announce and he has ton of money.

Cipolloni has agreed to testify in a private scripted interview, but it's not clear what subjects he's willing to discuss. he worked for the US taxpayer but he's not willing to disclose to us or investigators what we paid him to do. that seems perfectly normal.... FOR THE SAUDI LEADERSHIP.

Anyone who's still defending Trump or his big lie is disgusting to put it politely.

I agree on Trump.

The "smart" Republicans are the ones who favor illegal immigration and shipping kids all over gods creation to bolster economies in 4th world nations so they can exploit them and build that bank account.

You can substitute Romney, Cheney, Graham, Bush, same folks, same world view

I didn't say Trump was absolved in my response. I was just pointing out that you ignored the unfair drubbing that was unleashed upon the Trump administration by Clintons staff condoned by the BHO White House. The real crime is the News media pushing this with no effort to fact check the people in power. Why would they? Our US intelligence community were party to it and a compliant media felt they could simply parrot what they were told.
Smearing your political opposition by itself is not all that uncommon. However, when the FBI, and the DOJ do this "on our dime" it should never be tolerated. This practice is incredible on it's face and it blows me away that normally sane Democrats (moderates that may disagree with me but love our country and the rule of law) can claim how truly worried they are NOW about our institutions. If its OK to spy on a sitting president, slander and attempt to destroy his presidency, what chance do we have? Was this only justified because Trump was the candidate? Will it happen again with a another GOP candidate in the future?

Mike Pence did not have the authority to change the delegate totals he was presented with by the States. Trump was and is wrong for asking him to do that. I'm sure he absolutely believes that he got screwed. Admittedly, I lack a smoking gun on the subject of ballot tampering. It is a gut feeling that 81 millions votes for Mr. Magoo can't be legit. Is it such a reach that in a few highly contested states it would not have taken much to change the out come? Certainly this would not require millions of ballots but would require willing members of State governments to to turn a blind eye to the fraud. If enough motivated operatives Hated Trump more than they love our Republic I think it was possible.

As for being respectful, you are correct that it needs to happen. Thank you for your opinions.

Imagine if we just had ELECTION DAY.

Somehow, I can order **** from China, have it same day delivered, but we can't count ballots on a single day.?

If we TRULY wanted to eliminate all this noise, early voting, vote by mail, and especially ballot harvesting would go away.

Of course their is voter fraud. That's the goal with all this crap.

Like it or not, but the DNC and the Clinton campaign totally fabricated the Russia crap, so in his mind, why wouldn't they do it again?

Still doesn't ban him from running again.

But he's over retirement age, time for pasture. Along with the leadership on both sides in house and Senate.

The Brandon administration failures. A small list:
*Sending oil from the strategic Petroleum Reserve overseas.
*Challenging new Arizona election laws prohibiting voting by non-citizens.
*COVID idiocy. Wearing a mask in public when not necessary. Complete COVID theater,
*"Jim Eagle" worse than Jim Crow. The big lie about voter suppression in Georgia.
* Supreme Court nomination of a person who claims they can not define what a woman is because they are not a biologist.
*War on parents, weaponized the FBI. Supporting the Teachers union. Critical Race Theory, Transgenderism and now pushing the term "birthing parent" over "mother".
* Afghanistan withdraw. Most shameful foreign policy disaster of my lifetime.
* Border crisis, Immigration, getting rid of the Stay in Mexico policy. Worst border crisis in country's history.
* Crime surge. Canceled operation legend.
* Departure from energy independence. War on fossil fuels.
* Inflation.
*Race relations. Supports the notion that we are a bad racist country. Breaking his campaign promise of being a uniter.

What good has Joe done?
Trump WON. Let's go Brandon.

While I Agree with your List!

The List Is Way Bigger Than That!

Maybe The BrainStorm dude Can CHIME In Now?

Trump WON. Let's go Brandon.

Lagriz, what are you basing your statement that Trump believed he won the election on ? and even if he was dumb enough to ignore Barr and everyone else telling him he lost is being stupid an excuse for breaking the law ? if that were the case our prisons would be empty by morning. he knew he lost he was just too weak to admit it.

Desantis would never run with the orange loser. why play second fiddle to a retard when you can just take the nomination from him.

One legit question about Desantis is his new worth, less than 350k. most truck drivers have a net worth more than that. so is he really a career politician that honest ? doubtful. probably just a chitty money manager and poor businessman. but he's still probably worth more than Trump if the truth is ever known.

So dude?

You're Not Voting for Brandon again?

But what has Joe done that is productive and good for America?

We watched Trump fill arenas repeatedly, while Bidens had trouble getting anyone to show up as his events.

I think this was difficult for Trump and many of his supporters to understand. The fact is, many people (but still a small fraction of America) loved Trump and would travel miles to stand in the heat or cold to hear his speak.

As for Biden, no one felt that sort of passion. He was elected simply because there were even more Americans who hated Trump. These would not walk across the street to see Biden, but they would happily wade through the fires of Hell to see Trump out of office. The only rally they really cared about took place on November 3, 2020.

Biden didn't win anything bullskin......the Swamp put him there.....

Just like it’s designed to work Elon, just like it’s designed.

I live in a dry desert. Without water from our natural flowing spring, it’s lava rock and dirt. That’s it.

There was an old old feller that lived down the street, with a home on the ridge. He has a magnificent orchard. Folks from miles around, like 50 miles, probably lived next to Wade Lemon, like “that 50 miles”away, came to buy his peaches, pears, cherries, apples, etc etc.

One beautiful fall afternoon a wise old woman came up the hill to buy some perfectly ripened fruit, to bottle for the coming winter. As she lovingly gazed out of his hand manicured trees, ladened with the finest fruit in 50 miles, she proclaimed,

“Mr. Malouffe the Lord has certainly Blessed you,………. with a most spectacular orchard…………hasn’t He!”

Mr. Malouffo looked out across his yard….. thought for a second or two……… slowly drug his boot across a late sprouting tumble weed, turned to the woman and politely replied. “He certainly has Ma’dam, but you should’a seen it vhen de Lord had it by He’s self.”

Best comment I’ve heard since Nov. 3, 2020. I should have me a tee shirt made for homer………

Simply brilliant……. there’s the truth you’ve been searching for buckskin. Contemplate that for a bit.

I think you're 100 % correct.

But it shows just how effective the media is.

People, so convinced of Orange man bad, would vote against their own interests.

If any journalist was honest, each "man in the street" interview about recession, inflation, gas prices, would begin with "did you vote for Biden"?

And spare me the "moral" argument if you voted for either Clinton.

But honestly, as Trump found out, there truly is a swamp. Unelected, lifetime, bloodsuckers. Faucci being the poster boy. Until we address that issue, the Presidency doesn't matter.

After reading all the BS and the back and forth BS
You are saying that Biden and posse was just smarter then Trump and his posse and stole t all the votes they needed to win and did so good that they stole the Office.
But now they are too stupid to keep the office. Can ya be both.

Yup.

Millions of people smart enough to start buisness every year, but clueless about how to run one .

Dude spent his entire useless career getting elected.

Bullchitting people is a way different thing than being competent.

All fraud aside. It was the perfect storm for Brandon. The media attacked, he sat in his basement.

I heard Bongino early on say he had friends, (I'll assume Secret service agents) telling him that Bidens cognitive slide was really bad. Bongino being a Trump guy, it was easy to dismiss.

But without Covid giving Biden the excuse to not campaign, and the media covering Hunters laptop(15% say that corruption would have changed their votes), Biden had little chance.

To be fair, Trump chocked the debate trying to expose how sad Bidens brain was in the debate, he should of just let Biden talk.

It's still inexcusable what Jill Biden has done not just to her husband, but the country. She knows how feeble he is, yet she lets him go down in flames, along with the country, sinking to levels below Jimmy Carter. She's the real cuprit

Wow! This is a nice long "peacefully" discussed post.

If I read through correctly and made an accurate tally I would say that a fair amount of folks on this forum do not want Biden or Trump to win the presidency in 2024. At least some of us can get on the same page (on common ground so to speak). I sure wish the majority of this country would be able to find common ground. I hope like heck a good candidate/s can come out of nowhere and surprise us all. One can only dream I guess:unsure:

Biden won for three reason, remove any of the three and Trump is still President.

Trump is stuck on him self and has the morals of an angus bull. Trump told plenty of whoppers, and some out right lies. Some republicans couldn't stomach his morals but for the most part that ship sailed with Clinton. If Clinton had not been given a pass, I doubt Trump would have made it out of the primaries in 16, may not have even run.

Much of the media was against Trump from the minute he won the primary. During the primary many of the same media promoted him thinking he was a sure loser and then joked about him later. After the election the joke was on them and they hated him for it.
Trump played fast and lose with the truth, but he is also the most lied about president in my lifetime. Never given credit for what he did and every misstep promoted as if the sky was falling. When it came the campaign Biden was given a pass and any negative story was round filed or censored. With Trump the media too a shoot first and maybe ask questions later.

Covid happened. Trump was hammered for his handling of Covid and at election time he looked pretty bad. Now after a year and a half of Biden, Trumps response doesn't look nearly as bad.
With out Covid Governors and courts would not have been able to play fast and loose with the Constitution and change election rules with out the help of the state legislatures. Trump has a legitimate complaint here and the Supreme Court Punted the ball.

Trump lost because he was a chitty president. Biden won because Trump was a chitty president.

Few people wanted Biden as president, less want him today. he just was and is the better of two awful choices brought to us by a horrible primary system. but NONE OF THIS has anything to do with the crimes Trump committed after he lost.

We need to put Trump and his henchmen in jail and we need someone like Cheney to bring leadership and trust back to the Whitehouse. but that's not what's going to happen because nobody cares about nation anymore it's me me me.

Liz Cheney is like her father, never met a war that she wasn't willing to profit from. She is always willing to spend our blood and treasure on the next intervention. She is not the answer to what this countries problems are.

We do not need another twenty years failed military interventions costing us more of our youth and trillions of dollars.

Nemont

I'll take that over a dictatorship or a theocracy.

Failed military interventions are our future it doesn't matter who's president. if MAGATS get their way the next one will be right here.

Without a doubt Cheney is the best potential candidate to date. if you know someone better who could possibly run let's hear who it is .

Ron DeSantis, Kristi Noem, Nikki Haley, Tulsi Gabbard. In no particular order.

Interesting, but the election in many states did not ONLY take place on November 3rd. It instead occurred on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and then some with a known fixed number of votes needed to overcome Trumps early lead. Ballot harvesting, ballots without signatures, many posted late, late votes passed thru by postmasters, operatives who are as you say "willing to wade through fire" to sway the result.

To be fair, voter rolls that don't address folks that moved within the state or that registered in another state and also voted in that location need to be addressed . They need to remove the deceased from the voter roles as well (dead people should not vote). None of this is voter suppression what so ever. It is a necessary step to preserve integrity and not dilute another citizen's selection. Early voting and absentee ballots are fine and preferred by many. As long as one produces a valid ID we are golden. I vote this way for conveniency. Also good for people too afraid to vote on election day because of COVID19, flu, or because they feel superior to the unwashed masses in line. You know, the Boomer Rubes, Deplorables, pesky Libertarians and the like. When we count the votes local representatives of both parties need to view the ballots together. If someone acts badly or overly partisan they need to be permanently replaced. Only level heads need to be assigned this task. No big Tech involvement of any kind thank you.
What do you think of my take on this? Thank you for your interest and tolerance of my opinion.

Yep. When Nixon finally threw in the towel, it was because those in his own party refused to compromise their reputations. In an age where voters overlook character in order to achieve political advantage, they become the part of the "system" that failed.

I cannot count the number of times I have read MMers justify one transgression or other on the grounds that candidate X was "just their representative, not their pastor," and then these same people scratch their heads and wonder why the opposing team has adopted their playbook.

Perhaps that ship has sailed, but unseaworthy vessels eventually implode. I am with Centerfire when he suggests that Americans share a lot of common ground, if only the extreme left and right will stop with the distractions to prevent us from seeing them. Vote your conscience, politics be damned. With the lies out of the way, we will all have better representation.

Go revisit the Nixon thing.

Nixon wasn't forced out of office UNTIL they had ACTUAL Proof, he was directly involved in Watergate (the hush money slush fund).

"I just want to find 11,780 votes"

Many Americans believe Trump asked Raffensberger to throw the election, and most believe he should be charged for his role on January 6.

I believe there is plenty of proof that DJT is unfit to be president. If there is any difference between him and Nixon, it is that Nixon's party was unwilling to commit themselves to his lies. That appears not to be the case with the Republican Party today.

What we've found is that the mainstream GOP leaders know Trump lost and have said he's responsible for the insurrection, either long ago or in taped conversations.

They are now hiding behind lies for political expediency. The GOP has lost their way and are not being led by a commitment to morals and the ideals of what is right and their duty to their oaths of office.

It's time to clean house, but that's a process that could take years. It starts with moving on from Trump. Fifty years ago the GOP did that; today, they're not.

Did you think, after some sketchy crap(let's not deny it did, to what level is the question), he'd want to find 11775 votes?

So if he had said " I believe there are 11780 votes that were missed", that would be ok?

Again, to use Nixon. Nixon was ACTUALLY see RUNNING A SLUSH FUND. He wasnt saying I sure wish there was a slush fund.

If every word issued by a politician is now grounds to exempt them from office, then there will be no politicians.

I know Grizz will say what aboutism, but there is a member of Congress who caught a bullet from a Sanders supporter responding to Sanders rhetoric.

Are we saying this new speech law, started Jan 5?

Kind of like when unions occupied the Wisconsin State Capital for several days when Walker was trying to get laws passed that they didn't like. Those occupiers were called heros by the left. I would call them zeros just as like the Jan 6 protesters.

I seem to recall a democrat trying to find roughly a tenth of that many votes in 2000. I guess it all depends on if they are legit votes and if you are trying to steal the election like Al Gore did.

To say that he believed 11,780 votes were missed is fine.

To tell the Georgia Secretary of State to "find" more for his team ("there is nothing wrong with saying you recalculated") is very different.

Why not analyze the presidents actual language?

Bill Clinton taught us there's always multiple meanings to words like "is", and "sexual relations", remember?

Ya, I know what aboutism. History started Jan 6

I don't care what his language was. That's the point.

Why don't you judge the actual actions?

When did language become criminal?

If I say "I'm going to beat your Azz", is that assault? Or is beating it?

I keep bringing it up, and other than Grizz saying it's what aboutism, no one wants to answer.

I'll try again.

If a politician is responsible for what their followers do based on rhetoric, then why wasn't Bernie Sanders charged for attempted murder?

Second. What is it that Trump is to be charged with? Have you read the statutes?

Will that change your mind? I doubt it.

corollary challenge: show ONE verified credible case of material election fraud by anyone besides trump lawyers and minions.

With the thousands and millions of geniuses working on it, it should be pretty easy.
