With the changes to the dates to put in this year, does anyone know when cards will start getting hit? Last year my card got hit around the 12th of May, I'm wondering if this year will be the same?
That is a good question. If that date was similar to years past and then I would think the draw would be similar.I know the app dates were later, but how did the final tag number approval date (5/4 this year) compare to previous years? They weren’t able to do the drawing any earlier than the numbers were established before. I’d imagine it be rather similar to previous years.
Checks out, you’re probably correctA little google research suggests April 28, 2022 was last year's approval date by UT DWR...so about a week earlier...guessing that means we are looking at May 17-19ish for cc charges/results??
You are nominated!!! Thanks a ton, Chris! LOLSomebody just needs to call Fallon and ask if they are conducting the draw today or next week. That would be a good indicator.
Not sure I’m ready to find out yet anyways? You are nominated!!! Thanks a ton, Chris! LOL
I know....until you actually get the rejection, there's till a glimmer of hope. Not sure I’m ready to find out yet anyways?
April Fool's Day was a long time ago my friendSo, I called Fallon per Wiszard’s request and it sounds like while conducting the draw today, there was a hard crash with the computer program and the draw has now been pushed back to the first week of July. Not good!
Something will post this week. ?????Been a slow week so far.
ID MSG nothing yet
Montana MSG nothing yet
Utah nothing yet
Guess they will come fast and furious next week.
I know....until you actually get the rejection, there's till a glimmer of hope.
I am reminded every year, BESS! I was a few Mountain Dews deep that day. LOLHey Wisz?
Remember The Year The UDWR Was Gonna Take Your Tag Back?
Hey Elkass, are you in for elk this year? Every year I watch these threads and think you’re going to draw. Just curious. Hope you draw if so.
Sounds like something that QTPie would have done. LOLSeveral Years ago!
And I Don't Remember Who It Was?
But It Was Time!
He Got A Good Smack On His Card!
He Was Pumped,I Remember That!
But He Just Couldn't Make A Combo of Different Hunts That Would Add Up To The Amount of The Hit!
Then He Found Out Mama Used His Card At Victoria Secrets Without Asking Or Saying Anything!
I Guess It Wasn't All Bad!
Anybody Remember Who That Was?
U-Tard. LOLMine was for my wife deciding we need to go to Hawaii with my son the first week of June for fishing and fun…but still check you cards. Three round trip tickets for flight was $2200 and change. Wish I had draw results now but on the bright side, I have a confirmed vacation coming soon.
I really hope you never draw anything. Ever.I really hope one of the three are done today. I am hoping for ID Moose. I think Utah will be next week if not the week after.
Yup you made me check…I got a Henry Bull bison tag.
Yup you made me check…
I did. But it was a conservation tag.Yup you made me check…
I thought I was getting it!I got a Henry Bull bison tag.
Everything is a week behind from last year, so I suspect next Friday will be the day the cards start getting hit.May 12th has just about come and gone... nothing here
Good luck to you!!!I think I have a reasonable chance at a nonresident first season hunters choice alw Henry bison tag if the two proposed nonresident tags were approved and applicants repeated how they applied last year. I have 26 bison points going in. I suspect someone with more points might have jumped in after seeing the proposed tags, if so, it's more like no chance.

Thank you for the wishes! It's tough clearing out pools with 0-1 preference tags a year. I kick myself for doing sheep the first few years before seeing the futility of the system at 0 preference tags each and every yearI hope you draw to get the hell out of my way lol
Hear you on the card hack. Mine was hit/hacked and I stopped it while a pending charge before any money paid out. However, they still needed to cancel card and send a new one. Absolutely the worst time of year for this just weeks before the draws in several different states. Updated all states but Wyoming. I guess if unsuccessful for bull elk they will just cut a check. Couldn't update Wyoming.Right in the middle of this move, and my credit card got hacked. PIA and had to start updating apps once the new cards came. Luckily, every Dept was good about changing!!
How did you do on that tag? I can’t recall. My CC was hit last year on 5/14/2022 for my Pauns tag.
I was there for 21 days straight and never saw a buck that I felt was a big buck. How did you do on that tag? I can’t recall.
MuzzyWhat pauns tag did you have?
Dang, that is crazy. One would think that on that unit after 21 days, youd be able turn up at least 1 big buck.I was there for 21 days straight and never saw a buck that I felt was a big buck.
Guess it depends on what a big buck is as it varies from person to person. I didn't see anything while scouting (12 days) or hunting (all 9 days) that impressed me. I saw one buck while scouting that Mossback ended up killing on opening day, but IMO it wasn't an impressive buck at all. I also had help on the hunt from a MM member with the same points that I had. After what we saw/didn't see he decided on a different unit this year!Dang, that is crazy. One would think that on that unit after 21 days, youd be able turn up at least 1 big buck.
That's unfortunate. I think it happens a lot more than people think. Of course most people settle by day 4-5 on their hunts. Who can blame them after waiting 20 years.I was there for 21 days straight and never saw a buck that I felt was a big buck.
I hunted until sunset on the last day of season. Best part was that the last 3 days of the hunt I came down into the Bald Knoll area and never saw another person. Before that, that area was crawling with people/outfitters.That's unfortunate. I think it happens a lot more than people think. Of course most people settle by day 4-5 on their hunts. Who can blame them after waiting 20 years.
What do you consider big? 200 plus? That's crazy to go 21 days without seeing a buck big enough to shoot on that unit unless you were in the complete wrong area but I doubt that would be the case.Guess it depends on what a big buck is as it varies from person to person. I had pretty solid info from multiple guys that had the tag over the last 2 years and not just general info, but specific spots. I spent time scouting on top, below the Pinks, on Hatch Bench, and a few out of the way spots where a few other guys had done really well. One of the other NR muzzy hunters from last year is here on MM occasionally and he went guided and came home empty handed. I decided against going guided because they were charging $8,500 to $11,000!!What do you consider big? 200 plus? You are always welcome to tune out of any conversation you don't care to see, the beauty of Al Gores internet.Did you guys have too? Seriously? The door is now wide open for another ‘back in the old days’ 500 post debacle.
So no 165'ish bucks? That's surprising....I love venison too much.....never eating a tag. How many points did you burn on that tag? All that matters is that you enjoyed your hunt and it seems like you did.I had pretty solid info from multiple guys that had the tag over the last 2 years and not just general info, but specific spots. What were some of the top end bucks scoring would you guess? I put in this year, although I'm in no real danger of drawing ?.I had pretty solid info from multiple guys that had the tag over the last 2 years and not just general info, but specific spots. I didn't eat the tag. I too love venison too much! Shot a small 4 pt right at sunset on the last night. So no 165'ish bucks? That's surprising....I love venison too much.....never eating a tag. Is that a legit hit or did you photoshop that?
I just checked....not for me. LOLIs it starting
Nothing for me either.I just checked....not for me. LOL
Haha! It’s legit but only since I paid for my bison tag today. I couldn’t help myself and not post it, but I can’t be a big pecker and say it was the draw starting. Is that a legit hit or did you photoshop that?
Friday for NevadaHopefully by the end of this week we will have at least 3 states posted. And if really lucky Nevada also. That way I can admire all my UNSUCCESSFULs stack up a bunch more points, and start planning hunts for the one or two tags I hope to get.
???
A bunch of kids waiting for the candy store to open their door!
+1. Don't bother looking at your card tomorrow. Just check the card update after COB. The day after they shut that off will be the day!As of 10 minutes ago, you could still update your card info on the web page. Usually the day after they shut that off is when they start hitting cards. Not today. Maybe Wednesday…
What does COB stand for?+1. Don't bother looking at your card tomorrow. Just check the card update after COB. The day after they shut that off will be the day!
