    Judging muley's

Agree with ALL comments on the 'Wow' factor. Mr. Jack O'Connor said it, "You can tell the big ones, .... because they Look Big". Within the shadows, move softly. (Long-time member; somehow I was 'lost' after have logged 10,000+ posts.)

    New to Muleys

As was said, 'Mule Deer Are the Best Critters on Earth'. Despite the low number shown on my posts, I've been a long-time mule deer hunter and long-time member of this group....... somehow I got deleted and am just restarting. The 'SECRETS' to hunting mule deer are to do all the typical...

Got super lucky. Drew Idaho 52 rifle deer and 46-1 elk Dec

Big Ol', I've NOT known of your accident/physical issue before but I, too, congratulate you on your outlook ................ not to mention your good fortune on the draw. (Despite the current 'count' on my posts, I've been a member for a LONG time. Somehow, my profile was deleted, along with...

    Razor bino comparison question

I can't comment on the budgetary components but YES, Meopta is far better optically. Within the shadows, move softly. (Long-time member; somehow I was 'lost' after have logged 10,000+ posts.)

    Does anyone scout any more?

I AGREE!! And.... YES, Ron, some of us DO scout. It's (almost) as much fun as the hunt. BUT then .......... despite the # of posts it shows for me............ I've been on this site for years, although I've never asked for info, because I 'play' outside all the time. SOME ....... admit to...

Idaho unit 54 muzzleloader elk tag

Agree with the other guys. There are elk EVERYWHERE. HERE IS A GOLDEN 'CLUE'. The biggest elk you (any of us) have ever seen lives at Wooden Shoe. I would tell ......... but I simply can't get the tag and he's GETTING OLD. Within the shadows, move softly. (Long-time member; somehow I was...

58 Yards Out ... You Shootin'?

The deer is more than 'good enough' for me on an archery hunt. HOWEVER, I would not shoot at that distance, because I'm not a good shot. I'm GOOD at 'sneaky', so I'd try to cut the distance in half. Within the shadows, move softly.

25 seconds to Get It Done ... Can YOU Score?

CAN I? Without a doubt. WOULD I? Not if I had any real confidence in finding the bigger one. I WOULD take it, if I had had a chance to hunt some but not during the first 5 minutes, if I believed in the bigger one................ LOOKING and ANTICIPATING is a Lot more fun than carrying...

    Budget Binos & Rangefinder

Vortex IS a good binocular for the price. Also look at Pentax & Nikon. You do NOT NEED a rangefinder. I (either pulling the trigger or 'guiding' family & friends) have been there when we killed well over 400 deer & elk. Yeah, I'm that old. I killed a lot of deer before I could afford binos...
