If the article is correct then Utah has to have the best mule deer herd in the country (and here I always thought the Utah DWR was in it for the money only going for quantity over quality)! :) Muleydoc

UThunting, I think that mule deer on the sign is aweful big for a general region Utah herd buck. Do they make signs that are either 2 points or spikes! Muleydoc

I drew Unit 2C Jan. archery deer (decided to give it a try)as my first choice. I have hunted the 2B archery hunt twice before and I agree that you should have a great bowhunt. Good luck! Muleydoc

Thank you New Mexico! My son drew a youth Unit 17 either sex elk muzzleloader tag and a youth 2B rifle deer tag. I was drawn for a unit 2C Jan. archery deer tag. Good luck to all those lucky enough to get tags as well! Muleydoc

For managing Mule Deer I would rank the states as the following: 1) Nevada 2) Colorado 3) Arizona 4) Wyoming 5) New Mexico . . . 47) Florida 48) Rhode Island 49) New York 50) Utah I may be off by one or two but I think that is very close to an accurate ranking. Muleydoc

That is discouraging to hear. That is my biggest concern currently with the Book Cliffs. With all the new roads and increased traffic in the area it seems it will continue to be a problem. It makes it to tempting and easy for someone to take advantage of an opportunity to poach an animal. I...
