Wanted to take my brother in law on his first elk hunt. Drew Unit 9 as third choice. I have not hunted it since '08 when I was there with my daughter. She took a small bull not too far from Ranger Tank. Any updates on the unit, elk numbers, etc? Thanks

OK, I'll respond to the unscientific survey. Put in for a unit that last year took 17 non resident points to draw as my first choice and 8 points as my second choice. I had 7 points going into the draw. Won the lottery and got the dream hunt of a lifetime that I never thought I would be...

Thanks all for the input. Problem has basically been solved and I'll spend a little more time hunting than the original 2 weeks. I won the lottery this year. Also drew an Arizona tag that odds said I should not have. But the change to the Arizona draw has resulted in some unexpected results...

What binocular harness are you using for your 10+15's. Today I tried the large S4 and it seemed to be too small. Also tried the horn hunter. they fit in the pouch fine but the strap did not feel as secure and felt like it would bounce because the strap around the case was elastic. Thanks...

If you are only carrying one quad the homemade wood one I have is great. Can still get to things underneath if need be.
