New York Poachers Shine, Kill, and Retrieve Deer—From a Taxicab

Two men from Cortland County reportedly used a taxi to go shine and kill a deer. They were caught using the same cab to go retrieve it.

They just couldn't afford both the license AND cab fare. Have you seen what they charge anymore? And, the meter was running while they were stopped loading the deer!!!

It seems the wardens were waiting at the kill site to catch them loading the deer. I have a funny suspicion that the cab driver alerted the conservation officers and they staked out the scene. No mention of the cab driver being given a citation.

I'll go out there & opine that the cab driver was a willing partner. Thus, it wasn't coincidence that the same cab was used again.

W.Va. Natural Resources Police cite eight in a four-month poaching investigation - WV MetroNews

Two of those cited were Mineral County Sheriff's Deputies and a third was the head of EMS in Allegheny County, Md. Investigators say so far they've identified 27 bucks killed illegally in the case.

Not their first time poaching just the first time they got caught. They have been poaching for years
I have relatives in ny that know who all 3 are, i'll even go out on a limb & say my relatives, probably GAVE THEM the not so bright idea or actually helped them plan it
