What is the current buying price for elk and deer antlers in the brown, hard white and chalk categories? Are there any other catagories?

I don't know what the current prices are but if you are in the Lehi, Utah area on June 10 this year Antlerfest will be at Cabelas and we will have antler buyers there.

I've had 2 buyers get a hold of me so far and they are willing to pay $14.00 a lb for large Brown Deer "20in and better, Hard white Large $7.00 a lb. and stuff they can make knife handles in Deer are $3.50 a lb. Chalk Antlers $1.00 a lb. All my trophy stuff I take to Jackson Antler auction and it is on 20 May this year. Last year Brown Elk went for$12.00 a lb. Haven't heard on the Elk for this year. We don't find many Elk Antlers. Hope this helps out.

I'M A FREE HORN PICKER BY GOD, AND I SELL MY BONE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.

I want to buy several antlers from a local kid. Mostly broken brown elk sheds and some mule deer cut offs. Anybody has an idea on current pricing?

A lot of horn buyer prices depend on the grade & how picky the buyer is ! We have a few horn buyers that come to the Fur sales in Idaho , back in January brown elk sold between $17 & $20 a pound .. Brown deer were $12 to $16 .. Most buyers in Idaho are in the $12 to $16 range for #1 brown elk , I am sure with a little research you can find a horn buyer near you OR they will find you !!

Got recent intel on current elk prices starting at $18/# for fresh brown antlers. The traveling buyer will pay the price in Utah starting next week. No info on who the buyer is. I have nothing to sell anyway :)

A transaction with a kid..? Just offer him what you're willing to pay, and negotiate from there. Unless you have somewhere else to buy from, a market rate is irrelevant.

People actually buy antlers, that other people find? Thats the silliest thing i've ever heard! I'm an easterner but still, I've never heard of such nonsense.

Price in Richfield, Utah this week.

Any buyers coming thru Big Piney-Labarge area in the next 2 weeks?? I got a 55lb barrel full to get rid of...

Buddy at antler fest said nice browns were going for 40-65 a lb. A 380ish dead head sold for 7,600 bucks as well

It’s up in Jackson hole right? He said some of the nicer big ones were going for that much today, but hey I’m just a messenger

I sold for the best I have ever got at $19lb for brown elk this year and I've sold every spring for 25 years.
If they was paying double and triple that a few hours drive north of me I'm going to be pissed!

Like I said my buddy is their today, I’ll ask if it was for xl matching sets, seemed sky high to me as well… just spoke with him. He said matched browns, but not even monster sets. He thought it was ridiculous too. Maybe sell up in Jackson hole next year ?

He’s talking trophy prices. I’ve sold moose sets for 25 lb before and that was to a middle man.

A few of the bundles in the auction went that high, the average auction price was $26 a pound. Buyers were buying off the street fir $21

The Boy Scout auction is always high in Jackson, I did not go this year but last year it was about the same pushing towards 30.00 a pound. They always sell off an old Bull that died on the refuge or his sheds and there way over priced. Hornkiller you did just fine, buy the time you pay for fuel and rent a spot on the street you would have lost money. If you all want to see a lot of horn from all over the country the Alpine Antler fest starts I believe June 18 thru the 26th, trade, buy and sell. I’ve seen a lot of big Mule Deer sell and swap hands over there and all of the big Antler buyers will be there with the same prices being paid.
