Excellent buck with those loooong tines and that really cool necklace, wish I’d of thought of that 45 years ago. Here’s mine but it’s not bone from my personal kills. I like mine but I like yours better!

I’ve got a bag of cougar claws I’ve been meaning to make into a necklace. It’s time I got off my butt and got it done. I know a grandson that would wear it with pride!

The bracelet is one of many made out two to three hundred year old trade beads…… made by a good friend by the name of David Okerlund. I gave it to my wife for Valintines one year, many moons ago.

The beads at the bottom are various trade beads, the center three where used by the Hudson’s Bay company back in the 1700 and 1800, or so I’ve been told.

I like old stuff, even if it’s fake old stuff.

David Okerland, was he from down your way? I coached baseball with a guy named Mike Okerland from down your way, I wonder if they’re related… His dad passed about 10-12 yrs ago..

Possible. There are quite of few families of Okerlund’s in Sevier and Wayne Country.

This David an amazing artisan. A classic guy. Here’s his Facebook web page if you’d like to follow his life and art.
