Thanks guys it was an awesome hunt

Here are some pictures of my 2015 desert sheep hunt in Nevada. It was a fun hunt with old and new friends. We spent 2 days looking for 2 big rams we knew of in the unit but it was hard to pass on this 10 year old monarch, especially with my 11 year old daughter in charge.

That is a good buck. Mid 80's.

This is my first archery tag. Was wondering if anyone had any advice. Is it better to spot and stalk or set up a ground blind? I've been scouting and seen some pretty good bucks. An suggestions would be appreciated.

I was thinking around Whitmore or Burney. When can start putting in for tags or would I be better off waiting until after the draw and get the tag. Is this guareteed for archery?

Can non-residents buy over the counter black tail tags here? If so when can you buy them? Thinking about going there with a bow because the in-laws have land that the deer seem to frequent any info would be appreciated.

Slam- I can hunt the Kern range but I heard elk numbers weren't very good there until maybe late season.

That's ridiculous! Hopefully they catch the idiot before it happens again. This is the second story I've heard of people messing with other people's blinds. Pretty sad situation for hunters to be acting this way. I hope you have a successful hunt and thanks for reporting the poacher.

They come to Nevada where we stack em up. We are beginning to see more and more lions in western Nevada. Hunting them has actually been pretty good in recent years.

I am planning on using these bullets for my elk hunt this year. My grandpa killed his elk last year at 400 yds with them. I used the winchester supreme ballistic tips to kill an elk in oregon but heard the sst's are faster.

Angled Leica televid 77. Works the best in my opinion for looking over steep country either on the mountain or glassing out of the truck.
