Nice bucks Marburg, farmerdan and Bubba77! I ate my archery tag in eastern CO. Couldn't find a mature muley. Quite a few younger ones though. Seems like EHD took its toll.

RutnBuck13, I wish more guys were like you. Most have to put their tag on a 2.5 year old 130" 4x4 after they can't find a mature buck. Then they complain that they couldn't find a mature buck. This and the CPW's "slaughter" plan are the reasons there aren't a lot of mature bucks left.

The CPW should be cutting tags again in the NW units hit hard by winter kill last year. This will displace a good number of hunters that will be applying in other units making those units go up in points.

If you've waited 21 years to get that many points book an outfitted hunt on private in 40. It will probably be a 2 year waitlist anyway. Use that time to chip away at the payment over the 3 year period so it's not so bad. No way I'd waste 20 points in unit 76.

Glad to hear a non-bot got the DS tag. Leaves some hope for humanity. The CPW really needs to spend the money to make it harder for these bots to work on their re-issue system. But I'm sure they really don't care as long as they get the tag fee they probably couldn't care less.

I had 6 buddies, my daughter and myself on high speed internet trying to get her, my 16 year daughter, one of the 3-61 2nd season tags. Oh course nothing. Sad to hear bots and money got them. I wish the CPW would do something about these bots but they never will and will never spend the money...

Get em out there when they are young. It's so true that they get get wrapped up in school and sports for a while but that's a good thing. If you don't take them before all that I believe it's harder to get their interest after school and sports are done.

Just got back from hunting around Steamboat. Pretty bad. 3 cows were seen. One sanctuary ranch (no hunting allowed) that we normally can glass up 50-70 head of elk every day had about 20 head. We only saw 3 deer when we normally see well over 100. Bears were there as usual.

First of all I don't agree with a NR having the same chance at the secondary or re-issue tags as Residents. One of the reasons such a high percentage of NR youth drew tags may be because a lot of the resident youth may of drawn their tag in the primary draw and didn't enter the secondary...

I cannot believe the thousands of adults that still don't understand the secondary draw process or they are just stupid. I see many draw recap reports for hunts that have 1 tag available and 40-200 adults applying for it. CPW says "thanks for your donation"!
