    SLC vs SLC HD

I have a pair of 10x50 SLCs that are about 10 yrs old. I LOVE them! I never really gave any thought to trading up. However, I am curious as to anyone's experience or thoughts about the new HD glass. I am starting to get an itch! Is it slightly better, marginally better, or out of this world...

    iPhone adaptor for Zeiss Diascope

I ordered a Meopta iPhone adaptor from Cabelas. it was supposed to fit my Zeiss....BUT it doesn't:(. I have the 20-75 eyepiece which is larger at 59mm. Meopta's largest is 57mm. Does anyone know a different manufacturer of this type of adaptor? I was really excited to bring it on my Utah elk...

    Monroe vs Pahvant?

Hi all. Just wanted to get some opinions on these two units. I've saved some $ and am ready for a landowner tag! I notice that the Pahvant tags are more expensive. I think that the bulls there, on average, are a little bigger historically. But Ive heard that the tags on the Monroe have been...

    Off to the Pahvant!

Even at 41, I feel like a little kid heading off on his first hunt:). Hopefully, lady luck will shine on me and I'll be able to post some good horn porn for fellow MMers. Good luck to all with your hunting this year! 93trojan

How has the Spring weather been around Richfield/LE elk units? It was relatively mild here in California in Winter....then a good amount of moisture in March and April. Hopefully, it passed through and hit you guys.

    6.5x284 for elk?

Got a great New Mexico elk tag:). I have a 338 win mag for elk, but I just got my new Gunwerks 6.5x284 that runs 140 grain Bergers. I'm really itching to use it this year, but I don't have any plans for any deer size game this year. Would you guys feel comfortable bringing this setup in a...

    Winter/Spring

I was wondering how the drought is there in New Mexico...if there still is one anyway. I didn't put in for elk last year for that reason. I know drought plays hell on our desert mule deer horns. Sounds like it did last year on your elk also. Have you guys had decent moisture this winter...

    Auction tag prices

Does anyone know what the San Juan, Pahvant, or other big conservation/landowner tags went for? I'm too old to wait 20 or 30 years to hunt these areas. I know I'll need a second job....just wondering if I might need a third!

Should be a great year in Mexico

Finally, after two years of a terrible drought, there was plenty of rain. My dad and I own a ranch around the Caborca area, and we have seen first hand what a drought can do to the horn size. It was the worst hunting I had seen in Mexico, and I have been going there for twenty years now...
