    Barnes Sabots for Elk

I second the tmz barnes bullets. The boattail makes them very accurate. The yellow jacket is to tight in my Thompson, I've called barnes in the past and they sent me the thinner blue jacket. They expand great and retain their weight after passing through an animal.

    Alaska range dall sheep hunt

The hunt didn't happen. The alaskan range suffered dramatic winter kill loss. Grateful The outfitter was honest and upfront with me and letting me know before I booked with him. Now it is common knowledge of the challenges in the alaskan range for dall sheep. Most of the outfitters are not...

Black Diamond 10x42 new in the box. These are compact and great feeling in the hands, bright and clear in low light. These have european glass and are very color correct. They sell for $799.99 from black diamond. I'll let them go for $425

    Scarpa boots

Scarpa kinesis 12.5 hunting boots lightly used. They are a little to narrow for my foot. I love everything about these boots except the width. Great quality leather, vibram outsole with excellent traction, and stiff for mountain hiking. They retail for $326. I'll take the loss at $225. They have...

Best way to sight in a rifle?

I have 300 wsm as well and use the accubomd bullets. 1.5 inches high at 100 yards, dead on at 200 yrds. This seems to be the best for many hunting situations. That caliber is flat shooting and makes for good long range applications

    Alaska range dall sheep hunt

Hi guys, I'm planning a dall sheep hunt for the fall of 2021. I'll be going to the alaska range with rampage alaska. This outfit uses horses then climb after the target sheep are found. I'm looking for someone to go on this hunt with me on a 2x1 hunt. Rates are better. If interested send me a...

The story of my manti bull.

Cool story and life change. Congrats. Best advice I every received was to get a liner sock and wool socks. Feet stay dry and now blistering. Make sure your boots are snug, not slipping and your feet won't blister

    berry manufacturing results

I've wanted to try them, yet very satisfied with barnes tmz. My recommendation would be to use 150 grains of pellets. Once you get past 100 yards the drop will be very substantial with that size of bullet.

    200 Yard Muzzleloader Shots?

I shot a great bull elk a few years ago at 290 yards. The killing power is still good a that distance with 150 grains of triple 7 barnes 250 TMZ and a Tc triumph. Long shots need magnum loads or they drop out of sight. Shoot a lot and know your ballistics.

    Kenetrek boots

I've had mine for several years and went through the original soles quite fast. I had them re-soled with the vibram sole that they used to put on the guide boot. The soles have bigger lugs and they are lasting longer than the first. They fit me well and I've put many miles on them. The water...

    Wyoming credit card fees

They stopped doing paper applications a few years ago. So now it's only credit cards online. If you don't draw a tag wyoming doesn't give back the cc fees. Yeah it's a bummer for sure.

    Wyoming cc fees

I guess my point is, those that want the convenience of a cc let them pay the fee. Those who have and want to pay cash Wyoming needs to give both options

    Wyoming cc fees

Starting in 2019 Wyoming will start charging a 2.5 percent fee on all credit card transactions. Their fees just keeps getting more expensive. Hunting isn't just for the rich, applying for tags and not hunting is for the rich

    Late Muzzleloader 55&57 bull elk

I would encourage you to look at the barnes all copper bullets 250 grain TMZ. I had a complete pass through on a bull elk at 290 yards. I also use 777, yet the 150 grains of powder is the biggest difference in not only drop but in penetration on large animals. The bullet retention on my elk was...
