If you are "volume" measuring with those Blackhorn tubes, you will find the lines often don't come close. Use a good volume powder measure and/or weigh them out. Use those tubes to store your powder loads for the range/hunting.

The Maven CS.1 is another reasonably priced spotter that is very light and trim. Perfect for packing into the backcountry. If you can't swing for a Kowa 553/554, then the Maven CS.1 or a Athlon Ares 15-45x65 is a terrific option.

I've liked the 285 Barnes Spitfire MZ boat tails alot in my Knight .50 caliber. Something along the lines of a 285-300 grain boat tail makes a lot of sense. I would think a longer/heavier 350ish grain would be a good option too. FH
